Personalized Care for Survivors

Immediate Response
Services

Our highly trained and supervised volunteer counselors and staff are available to support survivors of sexual violence, their families and friends, and providers. You can reach the hotline by phone 24-7 at 800-841-8371 or web chat 9:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. every day for immediate support. You may also call the hotline to request a BARCC medical advocate at local hospitals.

Counseling

Our clinical team provides short-term individual, couples, family, and group counseling with licensed clinicians and trained counselors for survivors of sexual violence and their families and friends. We work with survivors and their loved ones to find their strengths, to understand the impact of trauma on their lives, to build and use coping skills, and to explore ways to heal and thrive.

Legal Advocacy

Our legal advocacy team helps survivors understand their legal rights and options in the aftermath of sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, and other forms of sexual violence. We assist survivors as they navigate the civil and criminal legal systems, including educational remedies, advocating for survivors’ privacy and safety in every aspect of their life. If survivors need representation, we can help you find an appropriate resource.

Immigration

BARCC offers free, trauma-informed services to survivors regardless of their immigration status. Our immigration team helps survivors file for humanitarian immigration relief as well as consultation around additional needs.

Case Management

We work directly with survivors and significant others to assist with their immediate and long-term health, housing, financial, and safety needs. This includes providing information and comprehensive support to survivors in accessing health insurance, housing funds, emergency shelter, affordable housing, victim compensation, public benefits, and more.
