Howdy, I'm M.G. Siegler. I’m a general partner at GV. This is where I collect things.
Frank Sinatra conducted friend Dean Martin’s album Sleep Warm in 1958. Producer Sonny Burke said of Sinatra’s conducting abilities, “I have often seen him conduct at a recording session…he would sometimes conduct the orchestra with his hands. He has the most graceful, expressive hands you could imagine and the orchestra would obviously follow him like a hawk. Every little nuance he dictated with his hands, rather than talking about it.”
Martin said of Sinatra, “Frank is my dearest and best friend and he’s about the warmest guy I know. That exterior everybody sees is a lot of baloney. He’s a very warm man. He knows what he’s doing all the time; may not be right all the time, but he sure knows what he’s doing all the time.
