Meet Annie

05-27-2011

Allow us to introduce you to Annie, our Gal Friday making things happen in and around San Francisco.  Bash, Please SF, yeah, we like the sound of that.  Without further ado…

Annie Taylor’s Inspiration Board:
I gravitate towards pretty things and I love a good shin dig. Something about being festive just makes me happy. That and a sweet dog, good friends and my hubs. So on the days I am far far away from a dinner party with fancy cocktails and overall goodness, these pretties suffice…

Name: Annie Colette Taylor
First car: 80’s something Audi Quattro, embarrassingly loud
Favorite vacation spot: San Sebastian, Spain
Favorite book: Plainsong by Kent Haruf
Favorite flower: Peonies
Favorite drink: Champagne and a good margarita are tied for first place
Favorite shoes: Pretty heels
Favorite song on the Glee soundtrack: I should know this…
Favorite thing about working at BashPlease: Talent, energy, and good looks
Describe your ideal event or wedding: Well executed and fun!
How would you describe Paige and Kelly to their clients? I would hire them for my best friend if I could, they are that good, and lovely, and funny.
Is working at BashPlease the most fun you have ever had at a job? Clearly, streamers and succulents are guaranteed
Who is your favorite studio “rat”? Remy, Millie or Pickle? We obviously need to start skyping!

(the event formally known as HITCHED)

05-25-2011

Well, we aren’t quite at Prince status, but we are currently nameless and still awesome! That’s right, some not-so-nice people who didn’t learn to share in kindergarten decided to buy {trademark to be official} the word HITCHED and they want to take us to federal court to throw their tantrum publicly. After many months of legal discussion and deliberation, we are choosing to forgo the playground brawl and keep our dough and event in tact, with tact.

And with a NEW NAME.

{Our mamas always told us to ignore the bullies on the playground}.

What is that NEW NAME?  That’s where you, our loyal playmates, come in. We need your help. You play nice, right? Will you help us build back the HITCHED fort?  {oops, sometimes it slips}

Here’s the deal: leave a comment below with your suggestion for the name.  If we pick your choice, you will win 2 free tickets to the next event PLUS a free night’s stay at a swanky hotel in that city. Yes, a full ride to the event formerly known as HITCHED. {dang, we said it again}.

MAKE IT COUNT FRIENDS. WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT.

Meet Christina

05-17-2011
We decided to introduce you to the whole BP camp. Meet Christina, another one of our shop gals who is kicking butt and making us proud.
Christina Contento’s Inspiration Board: It’s so hard to choose only a handful of things that make me smile, especially when there is so much talent and inspiration floating around out there on the interwebs. If I had to choose just a few, right now these lovelies make me one happy lady: lounging anywhere poolside with cocktails and good company, pb & j sandwiches, summer bike rides, stripes, big bows and trips to the thrift store. Come join me!
First car: 1994 Honda Accord. That thing was a trooper.  Favorite vacation spot: Palm Springs and my family’s lake house. It was originally my great grandparents and has been passed down through generations. I grew up spending the summers there for weeks at a time. It’s a place full of childhood memories, sweet comfort, sunny days and warm nights. Favorite book: I love coffee table books, so for that I’d have to say The Selby. But I also secretly have a thing for tween novels and anything by Jodi Picoult. Favorite flower: Succulents + airplants. Those count as flowers at BP, right? Ranunculus too. Favorite drink: Moscow mule. Villains Tavern makes a dangerously good one with mango and candied ginger. Oh, and wine of course. Favorite shoes: I’m a flats girl all the way. Right now I’m loving my maryjane bow flats by Marais USA. Favorite song on the Glee soundtrack: Forget You with Gwenyth Paltrow. Favorite thing about working at BashPlease: Creativity oozes out of that place, Glee is on repeat and wine is served at 5 o’clock. Describe your ideal event or wedding: Modern vintage with a touch of whimsy. It’ll be small, intimate and cozy. We’ll laugh, cry and dance the night away. Good food, drinks and salty sweets will be had. It won’t be just one night, it’ll be a weekend spent with family and our closest friends. A perfectly curated celebration full of sweet details, unexpected surprises and confetti. How would you describe Paige and Kelly to their clients? They’re the best friend you never had. I promise they’ll throw you the most amazing party of your life, and they’ll have fun doing it. They’re two peas in a pod, reading one another’s mind while each bringing something different to the table. You won’t meet another duo like ’em. You’ll fall in love with these ladies and uncontrollably covet their style. Is working at BashPlease the most fun you have ever had at a job? Hands down. Who is your favorite studio “rat”? Remy, Millie or Pickle? So not fair. They’re all my favorite. Remy is pretty much a style icon over here. Millie is a sweetheart. And Pickle, I love her for reasons all her own.
There she is, Miss C. Another goodie. Don’t try and steal her, k?

Meet Ashley

05-13-2011

Ashley is the newest addition to the BashPlease team. She rules the school. Find out some nuggets about her below. Welcome to the most fun you’re ever gonna have at a job Ash!
Ashley Bryant’s Inspiration Board: It’s much easier to be inspired by beautiful images than janky ones, so here’s some of my favorite purty pictures. I appreciate the  delicate oddity (hot pink horse with gold feet… FANCY) as well as the ironic ’90s icon in the same breath.. hence Luke Perry (be still my heart). I love any excuse for a party and if that party is held in a field or on the beach, with pies and my pup, Schatze is invited… and Wilco is playing, you better believe it’s gonna be a frickin’ rad-ass party!
First Car: Goldielocks, a 1972 El Camino
Favorite Vacation Spot: Anywhere there is a beach, and drinks with mini umbrellas….oh!  and pool boys.
Favorite Book: Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore
Favorite Drink: Ranunculus.. cause they’re so long and awkward. LIKE ME!
Favorite Shoes: My sparkly gold Toms.. they make me feel like Sarah Goldfard.. without the pill-popping addiction.
Favorite Song on the Glee soundtrack: Glee?
Favorite thing about working at Bash, Please: All of the craftiness! It’s amazing that I get to spend all day with creative people, crafting up a storm. I get paid for this?!?!?!
Describe your ideal wedding or event: MY OWN!!! See here.
How would you describe Paige and Kelly to their clients? Hold on to your knickers, cause you’re in for aa wild ride! These two are a barrel of fun, and will make your wedding UNBELIEVABLE, you lucky ducks!
Is working at Bash, Please the most fun you’ve ever had at a job? It actually is. Weddings are usually the most fun two people have on a single day, so getting to do what I love for people on such an awesome day.. can’t get any better.
Who is your favorite studio rat? Remy, Pickle or Millie? I’ve got a soft spot for Millie.
There you go. She’s pretty rad huh? We think so.

Kathryn & James: Inspiration Board

05-05-2011

We’re still buzz buzzing over here after a busy wedding weekend at Sony Studios for the adorable Kathryn & James.  While we cool our feet and wait for the stunning photos from Amy & Stuart to flow in we thought we’d share their inspiration board to give you an idea of what’s to come.  More soon…
