您好, my name is William Hale, however, most people know me as Salt. I am a Seattle local who owns a web development firm and an event bartending service, graduated from the University of Washington, and lead the Greater Seattle Linux Users Group from 2007 through 2015.
My focus is on free/libre/open software and culture, information security, and entrepreneurship. Other hobbies include: urban hiking (walking), dancing (east coast swing, folk, blues, tango), windsports (windsurfing, kiteboarding, sailing), boffering, cooking, driving, gaming, programming, public speaking, reading, robotics, skiing, and travel.
Recently, I have embarked on a journey around the world. Beginning with 3-4 months in Western Europe, I will hike/bike/boat to China over the course of 6-8 months. Once there, I intend to work while gaining proficiency in Mandarin for approximately 1 year. Finally, I hope to take 2-3 months sailing back to America aboard a refurbished junk.
Along the way I will be working as a bartender/mixologist and managing web contracts from abroad. Also, I hope to attend conferences, conventions, events, and festivals in the fields of infosec, linux, music, and sci-fi/fantasy.

I didn't see William and his girlfriend a lot as I was away for the weekend but when I came back on Monday morning, everything was perfect, clean. They are really friendly. I recommande them.
