Hawkes Bay by Train excursion

On Sunday, 14 May 2017 (Mother's Day), Feilding Steam Rail ran an excursion to Napier return, hauled by a KiwiRail diesel.
Here, the train is seen emerging out of the fog at Woodville, as a KiwiRail track maintenance crew wait for it to pass.

The Spiral Snow Express

On Sunday, 21 August 2016, Steam Incorporated ran an excursion train from Paekakariki, in the lower North Island, to the Raurimu Spiral in the central area of the North Island. The excursion was steam hauled to Palmerston North where an EF class electric loco then took over for the journey to Raurimu and back to Palmerston North.
A rather scungy-looking EF30203 is seen here hauling the excursion train through Maewa, just north of Feilding.
