"Frozen Wasteland"

February had turned mild, but March arrived with a burst of deep cold (-30 C without windchill this morning). The mild period had melted a lot of the snow off the Ottawa River, exposing the ice beneath. The cold wind has scoured the surface of the river, leaving textured areas that look like the surface of the moon. A frost has hit the far share, leaving everything with that uniquely beautiful (and very cold) look. Overall this is a cold image - appropriate for this frozen wasteland. This is my first share from the litte Voigtländer Ultron 40mm f/2 SL-II pancake lens and is a combination of four portrait oriented frames stitched together.
