Green Tree Ant

Love this shot of the tiny little ant. They are so beautiful with their big green bum, but don't let that fool you, they have a nasty bite!

Brace Yourself

One of the many critters you come across when walking in the forest at night in far north Queensland. If anyone knows the specific type I would love to know in the comments.

Parrot Poser

Eclectus parrots are curious creatures, always up for a photo. This guy posed for me perfectly. You can even see my reflection in his eye, looks like lunch was good too.

Bathurst Bats

I thought it time I check out the Flying Foxes living in Machattie Park. They are a tough subject but make for some amazing images. Love how you can see all the veins and crazy long "fingers" in this shot. You can checkout the full album here:

Knife and Fork

This Goanna (Lace Monitor) seemed quite at home venturing out from the scrub in country NSW. I love this particular capture as you can see the perfectly straight forked tongue and the claws of this massive Lizard.

Rooster

This is the best rooster photo I have ever taken. It's also the only rooster photo I have ever taken. Love how you can see how shallow the depth of field is on this shot. If you look at the grass its just a thin slice of focus in the whole image. This rooster also functioned as a spectacular alarm while I was away. Personally I could have settled just for the sound of the ocean.
