24ft Container Home by HyBrid Architecture
Built in a single 24ft container, this prefab shipping container home is designed as a remote retreat or self contained backyard cottage. Expansive openings allow the space to fully embrace its surroundings. Unit's area is 192 sq ft with a bathroom, galley kitchen, built in storage, room for beds and flex space. In this version of the HyBrid prefab containers range, a pull out couch turns into a bed and a fold down wall unit becomes even more sleeping space. The kitchen and all of the furniture were sponsored by IKEA. The bathroom is a glass-walled area with sleek modern Duravit fixtures.

One of the wealthiest areas of New York, the Hamptons seems like the most unlikely location to build a home out of re-purposed shipping containers, but Andrew Anderson has done just that. Comprised of six-modules from New York-based SG Blocks and a slew of the most cutting-edge, sustainable materials on the market, the Beach Box is an enviable eco-lux home located in the tranquil Napeague dunes - just 600 feet from the ocean. But don't get too excited. Like most homes throughout this upscale hamlet, it doesn't come cheap; the Hamptons' very first shipping container home is currently on sale for a whopping $1,395,000.

This earthquake-resistant container home was made with three 20-foot and two 40-foot shipping containers. The customers wanted an earthquake-proof home at an affordable price, and architects were able to deliver a home design to suit client's needs using the shipping container as the structure. The earthquake-resistant container home was built for about $75,000 USD in three months.

Do wheels make a shipping container home an RV? Oakland may soon find out
Shipping container homes, or “box homes” as aficionados call them, may soon be parked on city streets in Oakland. At least that’s the goal of Luke Iseman, who helped found “Containeropia,” a shipping container community. Now, he’s living in a state-of-the-art container he designed, complete with bamboo floors, wood-paneled walls, a tin ceiling, a platform bed, a kitchen and bathroom. The container is on wheels, and parked outside a warehouse in West Oakland.

Container Spaces works with recycling materials and has an architectural approach to the re-use of ISO shipping containers as a base element for construction of modular spaces for housing and commercial use, taking advantage of its characteristics of strength, mobility and adaptability, plus count the cost-benefit aspect.

For a shipping containers padel sport club (its a mix between tennis and squash) the Living Project Homes used 4 x 40ft HC containers, inside the containers they built a woodframe with insulation. The client wanted an eco look and use of materials for the walls from the OSB3 board and the roof from OSB3 with a PVC folie wrap around for the color.
