This striking boulder at the foot of a picturesque set of waterfalls was too tempting to pass up.   The bright colour against the monochromatic black rocks of the falls was eye catching.

Hauy Stack.

An unnamed sea stack off Cape Hauy.

I have just walked the Three Capes Track, in Tasmania.  It is a brand new hiking trail, which only opened for business in December.  This is one of the iconic views along the track.

What a spectacular walk!  The tallest sea cliffs in Australia, comprised of ancient dolomite columns, and some of the best hut facilities available anywhere.  Highly Recommended!

Tasman Island

A view from Cape Pillar of the Blade and Tasman Island.

After reaching the overnight hut on the second night of the Three Capes Track the clouds started to clear and the Aurora levels were looking interesting.

A fast paced 1 hour dash down the path to Cape Pillar brought me to the end of Cape Pillar just as the last light of the day was catching the dolomite column cliffs. A spectacular sight at any time, particularly striking with the soft warm light.
