Are Google+ Comments right for your Blogger Blog?

If you are a passionate Google+er who also has a Blogger blog, consider enabling the Google+ commenting system on your blog.

* Commenters use their Google+ Profile identity to comment

* Commenters can choose to make their comment public or comment privately to a Circle or individual

* Comments can be shared to Google+

* You'll be notified of new comments by email AND on Google+

* You'll be notified when someone shares your blog post on Google+

* A share of your blog post will appear as a comment on that post

But there are down sides too:

* If someone's comment is not Public you may not be able to see it to moderate it

* If you have blocked someone, they will still be able to comment, and you won't be able to see or remove the comment (unless you use a different account)

* You can only moderate comments on the blog post pages. There are fewer moderation tools than for the Blogger comment system.

* If you change your blog's URL the Google+ comments will disappear

And the main reason why I don't use Google+ Comments on my own blog:

* You must have a Google+ Profile to comment, and not everyone has (or uses) their Google+ Profile.

So, consider your blog's readers and whether +Google+ Comments are right for your +Blogger  blog.
