- +Al Hunt I find it a smart decision that Apple and Google did not choose Arizona to get major expansion hubs. Amazon is here but only as a giant warehouse for shipping goods. Thus Amazon could get a huge work force by hiring staffing agencies to avoid paying higher wages or benefits. Lots of eager shift workers here who know they cannot miss any shifts or lose their job. It’s a right to work state. So this is a great place for employers and horrible for low-paid employees. No wonder no place in Arizona was considered acceptable enough to be a healthy place to live.2d
