Everything about this place is amazing! From waiting in line in blistering humidity, ordering hungover, to chugging 3 glasses of water. My last meal in New Orleans was superb!
With great reviews and a good looking menu, we could not pass this up. We walked over around 11am and stood in line behind 2 other parties of 2, and you have to wait outside, as there is no space inside. With great reviews and a good looking menu, we could not pass this up. We walked over around 11am and stood in line behind 2 other parties of 2, and you have to wait outside, as there is no space inside. It was humid, streets were smelly, but a lovely Tennessee couple initiated a conversation. They were sweet and frequented this spot often, and gave recommendations for NOLA, Jimmy J's, and everything good in the south.Because it was so hot, the staff were kind to provide a cup of ice water when requested as we waited outside. There were about 10 tables, very small space, so we waited nearly half an hour to get seated.
Cool wall art! Immediate wonderful service, it's that southern hospitality! I wish I can remember her name, because she was so nice. They've got breakfast items, po-boys, hot plates like etouffee and gumbo, sandwiches like blt pizza philly cheesesteak. Definitely something for everyone. I went with a pasta with andouille. Immediate kick of flavor in your mouth(and required much water). The breakfast was the best part, though. Cochon benedict comes dripping with jalapeno hollandaise. By far my favorite hollandaise sauce. However the nature of my immune system couldn't handle much, breakfast was the wine.
Charming spot that will want me coming back to you, N'awlins
