Now this is a theater, much better than an AMC or Century overpriced high school date spot. The Castro Theater is where you come for a true movie experience.

I've come here twice: a Hitchcock triple feature and an Indiana Jones double feature, and I was amazed both times. Of course the films themselves were great, but the theater is just beautiful. The ceiling and walls make you feel like you're at an opera; there's even a pre-show organist!

Movie schedules come out monthly. Keep your eyes peeled for something you like, and come on down!

Eh maybe I got unlucky, but I've never been more disappointed with a serving of butter chicken. A decent garlic naan is what gets me up two stars, but man that was a letdown. I ordered butter chicken, garlic naan, and veggie pakoras for delivery and none was great. The chicken just didn't taste like butter chicken and was astonishingly bland. Naan was okay as I said, but the pakoras were overwhelmingly salty. Not sure I'll order from here again.

Ginza is our go-to sushi spot in the Haight. We were so glad when they opened in Dec 2015 - our hood was hungry for excellent sushi, and they do not disappoint!

We come 2-3 times/mth, and each time the food quality is superb, the wait staff are friendly and efficient and Ming is just the best owner - everything you would want in a local business!
