The EVE of the EVE takes place the night before New Year's Eve and all proceeds benefit HighSight's scholarship program. This black-tie optional event offers more than 2,000 young professionals the opportunity to mix and mingle, while jump-starting the New Year's celebration. The party takes over the Merchandise Mart, where guests enjoy cocktails, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and dancing with live music. The EVE of the EVE is one of Chicagoland's premiere holiday choices for partygoers year after year. We have complimentary VIP tickets to give away for this event. Hands down best steak I had in a long time and I've had some good steak. Very well prepared and seasoned. On a bed on well balanced plums and raisins...simply delicious and or $28.

Best Chicago Vinyl Record Stores (Chicago "Proper" Only)
By David D, Record Store Enthusiast Here's my overall list of rankings for most of the vinyl record stores I am aware of that are located just within Chicago itself (that is, within the proper city limits). All stores are open as of December, 2016. Please note, although this list is extensive, it is not comprehensive. There are stores that are open and active in Chicago that are not in this list. Stores missing are places I either have no experience with yet, or I have not shopped at enough to be able to write a decent review of them. Also note that Reckless only appears once in the list--the "top store" in the chain. For Reckless, the actual order of the stores in the chain is: Broadway, Wicker Park, and then the Loop.
