Anthony Jenkins Appointed President of Coppin State University
Dr. Jenkins comes to Coppin State University from West Virginia State University, where he fostered growth in enrollment and created initiatives that resulted in the university's highest retention rate in five years. Jenkins’ appointment is effective on May 26, 2020.

University of Maryland, Baltimore President Jay A. Perman, M.D., has been named the next chancellor of the University System of Maryland (USM) by the USM Board of Regents. Perman will become the fifth chancellor of the USM when he succeeds Robert L. Caret, who has previously announced he will leave the position by the end of his contract.

The Biomedical Sciences and Engineering (BSE) education had its grand opening on November 7. The facility is a $175 million project that will allow USG to expand educational offerings and degrees in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
