Outstanding explanation, Chris. You’ve answered a number of questions I had about multi-amp solar powered projects. This one goes in the “useful information” bin for sure!
“No, I’LL get Bambi, YOU get the camera!”
I have quite enough flashlights, thank you.
What I am still waiting for, however, is a tasty little lightning detector chip that’s going to help me conquer the world.
Inches one side, millimeters the other, doh!
“This one will of course recognize three different coint types”
What’s a coint?
Bought one based on 5mm package description. Shaft is 3mm. Back to drawing board.
Next round, equal amounts of black AND red with glue, please?
This coming year? How cool is that! Living in Tulsa, I’ve been wanting to add lightning sensors to my weather station gear. Can’t wait!
I, too, suggested this beast in an email to Nate dated 3/11/2011. At this rate, SparkFun should be carrying the lightning detector chip I also recommended some time in 2014!
I find It humorous that they’re now offering this $49 cutie only a week and a half after I finally broke down and ordered a bigger scope from Saelig. I might still grab one of these as I think it would be delicious built into an electric guitar stomp box for visual display of signal processing adjustments & etc.
I have two:
The Cosplay Diaries: the dark side.
See? Redefine marriage, this is what you get.
