Up for auction is a New Model Blackhawk® .357 Magnum - 9mm Parabellum convertible revolver. The serial number, 33-95563, tells us this revolver was manufactured October 27, 1977. A letter "U" is stamped to the left of the serial number to indicate a "used" gun. It had originally been sold and then returned to the factory. There are no notes as to why it was returned. The revolver appears to function normally. Some features of this revolver include a blued finish; 6-1/2 inch barrel; and walnut grip panels with silver-colored Ruger "SR" eagle medallions. Other features include a 6-round capacity .357 Magnum cylinder and a 9mm Parabellum cylinder stored in a red felt drawstring pouch. The rear sight is click-adjustable for windage or elevation and protected by integral frame topstrap ribs. The front sight is a Patridge-type sight mounted on a ramp. There is no manual warning on this revolver, and the Sturm, Ruger address is stamped on the left side of the barrel. This New Model Blackhawk® revolver will be shipped in its original red hinged box along with an original instruction manual and purchaser record card.
The P85™ was the first 9mm centerfire pistol produced by Ruger in the Prescott, Arizona manufacturing facility. Ruger first introduced the stainless decocker-only model P85™ pistol in the 1990 Ruger Firearms Catalog. The serial number of this P85™ is 302-30358 and the testfire date is October 23, 1990. This pistol has never been fired beyond normal testing during manufacturing. It features a 4-1/2 inch barrel and high-visibility white-dot inserts on both the front and rear sights. The square notch rear sight is adjustable for windage. It has a stainless steel slide and aluminum alloy frame with molded high impact grip panels. Other features include an oversized trigger guard, full-time ambidextrous magazine latch and lanyard loop. This model P85™ has only one decocking lever on the left side of the pistol. The P85™ will be shipped in an orange and black hinged cardboard P-Series pistol box along with a 15-round magazine and an appropriate instruction manual.
