Alright /r/leagueoflegends, Simplify here with the sixth instalment of the Quarterly Moderation Feedback Thread. The Quarterly Moderation Feedback Thread runs every 3 months (as the name implies). This thread will be sorted by new so that everyone has a chance to ask a question/give feedback.
Feedback is one thing that can help us moderators know what we are doing well and what we can improve upon. This thread is for you to give any and all feedback to the mod team of /r/leagueoflegends. What do you like about the subreddit? What do you dislike? Any ideas, any improvements, anything at all, feel free to share it here!
In order to generate meaningful feedback, please try to give constructive criticism i.e. provide an idea or solution instead of "I don't like this." Please keep all top level comments as feedback, which means if there are memes/jokes, they will be removed.
This thread will last for approximately a week, so be sure to get your word in before it goes!
If you want to discuss the subreddit outside of this post, be sure to visit /r/LeagueofMeta. Alternatively you can also join our Discord server, we have a #subredditmeta channel for discussing the subreddit.
We may not reply to every single comment here, but we will definitely do our best to look at them all.
The previous thread can be found here.
As always, the #1 problem with moderation in this sub is the refusal to face the actual members of this sub on issues concerning this sub. Instead, you continue to insist that it makes sense to only discuss this sub with members of an entirely other sub. Completely ridiculous. The only purpose is to stifle discussion and hide issues.
The removal of the spoiler rule, as opposed to the improvement and actual enforcement of the rule, clearly sends the message to everyone about moderation in this sub: as little work as possible. It's a bunch of people that want some prestige and want no responsibilities.
Any discussion about LoL relevancy that doesn't begin and end with the banning of "cosplay" posts is disingenuous at best.

That's exactly the reason I started these quarterly feedback threads, so we can hear from the entire subreddit and not just /r/LeagueofMeta.
They only pick mods that 100% agree with them on every issue. Its gotten to the point where you can tag people over in /r/LeagueOfMeta that "enthusiastically agree" with them in every single post/argument and sure enough they will be a moderator within a few months.
not entirely true since I'm back on the team
How about making the poison pistol have a small amount of impact damage, instead of only DoT? There's pretty much no reason to take the poison pistol over the revolver, maybe this could help it a little.
PUBG's system makes sense, you get credit for killing the downed player if your squad mate kills them, but if an enemy kills your downed player they steal credit. Sure, you might not like having your kill stolen by other squads, but that makes the game interesting and there's no KSing within squads.
This seems like the best solution tbh.
Sports subreddits talk exclusively about their sport. Nearly every esports subreddit talks about the game as well. Even during Worlds we have a lot of non-Worlds discussion. Also, nearly every esports subreddit has a spoiler rule.
Why are the mods trying to pretend that we're /r/hockey when we're closer to /r/smashbros or /r/dota2 or /r/heroesofthestorm or /r/starcraft or /r/hearthstone or /r/paladins or /r/pokemon or /r/overwatch
We aren't an esports subreddit, goddammit.
I don't see it as us trying to become a sports subreddit. The way I've always viewed it is like this: The past few years people have gone mental because /r/freefolk post GoT spoilers onto /r/all, there were tons of threads with people being furious that they got the latest episode spoiled, which is pretty ridiculous imo. If you don't want the episode spoiled, don't visit reddit until you've watched it, it's pretty simple. If you really cared that much about it, you wouldn't go on social media at all because of course it's going to be talked about.
I don't see how it's any different for /r/leagueoflegends.
They aren't rants mate
Is one of you going to work on the Reddit Redesign? If not I'd like to volunteer. Recently did the redesign for 2 subreddits.
We're already working on the reddit redesign, but thanks for the offer.
If you don't mind me asking how exactly how do you work on it other than by just getting started?
I have designed and created new.reddit.com/r/borderlands3 and also did /r/borderlands2 but there I sticked as close to the original as possible. Both took only a couple of hours but mostly because I had to reformat and recolor a lot of images with GIMP. You have 34 mods, if everyone does one thing shouldn't you be done in a minute?
Except for the flairs with images, those are a pain. And since this sub has well over a hundred of them it's going to take long to properly format them to put them up as emoji's and then match them to the right place in the flair list so they're paired to the right flair on the old layout. Send my condolences to whoever you roped into that.
We have a big team of mods, but not everyone does the same thing. Only a few of us are involved in CSS and graphics, right now we really only have one mod working on the redesign (/u/Vjostar) and I think it's like 99% done at this point, just working out a few kinks.

It's called consistency, you can't let a post slide by just because it has upvotes, how is that fair to everyone else that posts similar things that break the rules?
Also, don't tag every mod, what are you trying to achieve here?
If she fucks the robot, I'm out.
and I'm in.

Need a bit more information than that to be able to help you out, what program are you using?
I’m using Logic Pro X
I was in my room when I read
'Darius counter camil?'
I did not know the answer
but then who was phone??
A quick 5 minute google would tell you who he is and why it's league related. He's a league content creator and even has an item in league named after him.
TB got so many people to play league back in it's early days, myself included. This is an insane loss for the entire gaming community. Rest in peace John.
