This mod will change your HUD (Heads Up Display) and add a few new features to it!

It has come a long way. The idea started to take shape inthe early part of 2013.

Since then a lot has happened. The mod almost died two whole times.

It got renamed to Interface+ and now renamed back to RPG-HUD (stick to your roots!).

But it's only thanks to YOU this mod is still there.

Without
your tremendous support (and almost weekly - later monthly) e-mails to
port it over to the new Minecraft version, it would most likely be dead
by now.

But instead of just porting it over to 1.10.2 and 1.11 I decided to completly remake it.

This took quite a while but now it is done. And this mod is better than ever before.

ENJOY!

  • RPG-like HUD
    • Health bar
    • Hunger bar
    • Experience bar
    • Breath bar
    • Horse jump bar
    • Character widget
    • Numeric values
      • Health
      • Stamina
      • Experience

  • Clock widget (See the world's time!)
    • Different time formats (24h,12h)
    • Immersive (Set it to only display if you carry a clock!)

  • Item details
    • Display the item durability of your armor and equipped items
    • Display how many of the equipped block you have in your inventory
    • Display which arrow will be shot and how many of that type you carry

  • Debug settings (If this mod conflicts with another)
    • Disable anything you want of this mod
    • Disable the event other mods use to render certain elements (e.g. the health event)
    • Set any element of this mod to render regardless if other mods want to prevent it

  • Different HUD types (plus possible plugins!) - see Media for screenshots!
    • Vanilla HUD (you only want the other features, not the RPG-styled HUDs)
    • Default HUD (simple, effective)
    • Extended HUD (also simple, also effective)
    • Full Texture HUD (if you want to retexture the entire thing)
    • Hotbar HUD (The Widget around the Hotbar - awesome!)
    • Modern HUD (My favorite - smooth, simple, transparent)

If you want to see something else in this mod, tell me and I might add it!

Now onto another great feature: Settings!

Almost
everything is customizable (and there will be even more customization
possibilites in the future) via the ingame settings menu!

  • Buttons in the settings menu have tooltips that explain what the setting does!
  • Change the HUD type (no reloading. instant change!)
  • Detail settings
    • Enable/Disable the armor durability display
    • Enable/Disable the item durability display
    • Enable/Disable the arrow count display
    • Reduce the size of the details by 50% (for those of you who think it's to big!)

  • Widget settings
    • Enable/Disable the numeric value for the player stats
    • Change the color of the bars! [With 3.2 or 3.3 you will even be able to change the color via it hex-code!]
    • Enable/Disable the player face

  • Clock
    • Change the time format
    • Make the display immersive!
    • Enable/Disable the color change depending on the day

  • Enable/Disable the hunger preview
  • Debug settings!
    • Disable anything you want of this mod
    • Disable the event other mods use to render certain elements (e.g. the health event)
    • Set any element of this mod to render regardless if other mods want to prevent it
    • Make the vanilla element render instead of the HUD's if something goes wrong

You'll find the settings in the forge mod menu.

And here are the installing instructions (pretty easy though):

Spoiler - click to reveal
  • Download the mod (surprise, surprise!)
  • Download Forge *link* (If you already have it, skip this and the forge installing)
  • Install Forge (use the installer)
  • Put the .jar file in your mods directory
  • Start Minecraft with Forge and enjoy!

First I'll remake the features of the last versions.
But I'm also working on a new feature (free placement -> you will be able to drag'n'drop the components on your screen) I just don't have much time for it (I need to earn my rent and food :P)

That's a pretty cool idea!
But yeah, life goes first ^^.

I've got a question though, is it possible to make blur effects behind the GUI parts only when there's a transparent background?
( Example: the iOS7-10 control center, also got blur behind it ).
I've always liked blur effects .w.

It's possible, but it is quite expensive operation (which will defenitely reduce FPS drastically on old or low-end computers).

Probably for the most part because it's in Java :/

Well, yeah, but even with lower-level languages it will be also quite heavy (depending on the size of are that needs to be blurred).

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. But genereally it should be possible.

Would it possible for you to add it to the modern GUI style?
( I personally don't know how hard it is to do, so sorry if I'm asking for something too hard )

It's pretty hard, to be honest, first, he'll need to read some pixels from the screen and then apply some pretty heavy manipulations on pixels (it usually requires some math knowledge) and finally drawing this blur on the screen. I do remember that blur can be achieved using kernels. All that will require a lot of code!

still depends on what you define as a "blur" and how much detail you want with it.
But it's a lot of work, yeah

I think he wants something like this for background (see left side of the screen where the objective is described).

yeah, I know. BUt depending on the intensity of the blur it's not that resource heavy. I actually did something like that for the game I'm currently developing^^

I'm mostly posting the news and plans in the Minecraftforum.net thread.

I love your mod, but I'm going to be honest with you here. I'm having some problems.
1. The new version of the mod is crashing my creative inventory. The XP bar is now showing in creative mode.
2. Both versions have no config file, especially necesary for the new version because-
3. A giant window shows to the right of the home menu . It's huge, distracting, and obstructive. I do support your mod, but it conflicts with many alternate menu mods I have used.
4. The old version of the mod has a popup window stating an update is available. It only happened once, but it was still annoying.

But I understand your mod is still in developement, and I hope you keep up the good work. Just trying to help.

I noticed the bug with te creative mode jsut a few minutes ago and already fixed it.
About the "textbox" you can disable it. But I'll add a config file that disables it before starting the game.

Fixed the creative HUD bugs and added a first start GUI to disable the textbox. (Maybe I'll also add a config file later but I don't really like config files). Also I fixed the bug that some settings reset upon restart.
Tell me what you think :)

It seems like Damage Indicators for your self with Armor Hub combined. Not bad for a mod. Though, any option to disable the main screen modifacation? It might through off a player for using it for the first time after a month of using the normal MC main screen.

You can toggle all the features on and off.
There is an option to disable the textbox.
Also there is a whole lot more features than "just" the RPG-Style widget and the armor status helper.

Maybe you mean this: http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/152-rpg-hud-101/
Sorry to tell you but that was made by me as well.
It's just a complete rework and no longer only affecting the HUd but also the entire interface.
Hence a new mod.
