With Daddy Kiril still working on getting us back on his laptop I continued working on my 200 word stories.
Just in time to help celebrate the 200th edition of The Pet Parade, I finished the first one and asked Daddy Kiril to stop by the library on his way to work and post it!

Good evening, felinity assembled!
Elvira Mistress of Felinity, here...
I wanted to let everyone know that I have been working on a few new 200 word stories and had planned to post them this week and next, but Daddy Kiril's laptop had modem issues last week and when he got the new modem his AVG anti virus seems to want to block his new network connection.
We are using his cell phone to get online and trying to use that with my paws ain't easy!
Anyway we hope to get back to normal soon!

Elvira Mistress of Felinity, here, welcoming the start of Summer and, coincidentally, the start of the Hurricane Season in the Atlantic.
This means we kitties need to look our best for when the big bad storms arrive.
As May came to an end we had a preview of sorts.
A couple of hours of late night rain, with almost non-stop thunder and lightning.
Daddy Kiril was late getting home by an hour!
This 5 min. video by daddy, from outside where he works, gives you an entertaining taste of what we saw out our window as we waited for him to get home.
Anyway, I got the urge to go through old photo folders, looking for pics we never used for some reason and the earliest ones I found were these 2 from early June 2012.
I really love the top one!
In the bottom one I appear to be practicing my laser eye, hee, hee!
We send our purrs and purrayers to Rascal!
He got an infection, turned abscess on his cheek, most likely from a cat fight, but all is well according to his Human.
She said "the vet fixed him up and he's recovering nicely. Though until the cone of shame comes off, he might tell you different."

This post is gonna serve triple duty, today.
1st off, Daddy Kiril took his new camera monopod walking stick to a nearby park, back to the same spot where the first one had its unfixable issue when he stuck it in the ground to set up for a photo.
He wanted to see if WALKER, Texas Monopod Hiking Stick was up to the challenge of his new life.
Daddy took 2 special photos for his blog, the 1st of which he used as the new header of his writer facebook page.
While at the park he decided to ask the resident Ducks of this lake some questions.
That led to the next photo he took.
The reason for one of the 2 questions he asked is explained by the 3rd part of this post...

HappyTuxedo Tuesday, felinity assembled!

Sneakers the Texian Tuxedo, here, with big news!
As fans of our and Daddy Kiril's blog know he is a walker and explorer.
Not having a car he walks, bikes and uses mass transit to get around.
For years he carried around an adjustable metal camera monopod walking stick that allowed him to take photos that he could appear in when inspiration hit.
A month ago Elvira shared the news and photos about daddy getting a new stick.
The stick was named after our beloved Mr. Nikita and we welcomed it into our lives.
All went well for a while then the poor dear had an issue that could not be fixed.
Reaching out to Serenity Bamboo about returning it for another fix they apologized for the problem and decided that the best thing to do was to start over and concentrate on making sure the new stick doesn't have whatever problems the 1st one had.
Daddy could keep the original as an art display piece (with the right display case if he can find one), even use it as a prop in photos and the new one would be sent at no cost.
As you can tell, by looking at the photos in this post, the natural coloring of the stick is different and flashier than the first one and the artwork is different and colored differently, than the first stick, as well.
As for the choice of name for the new stick that, all going well, will be his go-to companion for walks and photography...Daddy had to think about it a bit...
Until he remembered a little prop he had!
One that has been used by me since I was a kitten!
The mini Stetson would now be pulling double duty!
Was I a little jealous?
At first, but the more I thought about it the more I cottoned to the idea, especially since we are going to be a creative team finding new ways to make this blog special and hopefully attract new readers.
So what is the name and how did Daddy Kiril come up with it?

Sneakers the Texian Tuxedo, here!
The last time Daddy Kiril had a Seen and Heard to share was in November of last year!
WOW...He keeps his ears to the ground and eyes peeled....but hasn't caught on to much of late, has he? Hee, hee!
Anyway... that may be changing.
As we revealed the other day we welcomed a New Member to the Family! Daddy has a new Camera Monopod Walking Stick at last.
He took it out for a couple of strolls and hoped to see some cats.
His first stroll was along the Terry Hershey Trail next to a particularly wild stretch of Buffalo Bayou in SW Houston.
While there were no cat-related encounters there his next outing proved more interesting.

A couple of years ago he went and left that stick on a bus, silly goose!
Last month, in time for his birthday, he discovered a company that makes bamboo camera monopod walking sticks to order, with engraved words and inked images.
He decided to use a small part of his tax return to order one.
The words and the image put on the stick have special meaning to him and to us and we hope you will love it as much as we do.

Oh, my Ceiling Cat! August 2014? Has it been THAT long since the Factor last appeared? Did anyone miss my work?
If so, I am grateful for the support and humbly apologize. A lot has been going on since that Summer and while we are proud of much of what we have written here, we and Daddy Kiril let the difficulties of his life divert us all from more of the creativity we are known for.
We hope to do better going forward.

Sometimes I wonder about my elders...
Good evening, felinity assembled, Friday the Bearded Lady here!
While Daddy Kiril was out getting kibble and litter at Wal-Mart I awoke from an afternoon nap to find Sneakers the Texian Tuxedo and Elvira Mistress of Felinity in a bit of a disagreement...
It seems Sneakers awoke from a nap and went to take a dump and got spooked.
She then woke Elvira to tell her about it and Elvira investigated.
When Daddy got home Sneakers insisted that HE take a look.
Daddy took a look and apparently Sneakers was satisfied enough to return to going potty...
Two hours later...hee, hee!
Here, daddy took 2 photos before he stirred the litter and checked for those "somethings" Sneakers swears she saw.

Have you ever gotten in touch with your dark side?
By that, I mean having your human take a photo of you using some filter on their digital camera or cell phone camera?
The other day Sneakers the Texian Tuxedo, Friday the Bearded Lady and I talked Daddy Kiril into using the "Negative Effect" in his Samsung Galaxy Avant cell phone and the results were quite startling...especially for the 2 Tuxedos.
A friend of Daddy Kiril took one look at me and opined...
"It looks a little like flames!
Since we Torties are all about dark colors, with some red and the like to brighten things a little, I was curious what would result.
Very interesting.
