Since 1791, there have been 22,844 known line of duty deaths in America. ODMP Research Volunteers constantly discover forgotten line of duty deaths throughout the country. Because of our efforts, this number includes 1,623 previously forgotten heroes, now honored on the ODMP and other local, state and national memorials.
