Dheeraj Pandey

Founder, CEO & Chairman

Dheeraj is the Founder, CEO & Chairman of Nutanix. He brings a wealth of experience of working at high growth enterprise software companies. Prior to founding Nutanix, Dheeraj was the VP of Engineering at Aster Data (now Teradata), where he helped build the product and its engineering team from the ground up. At Oracle, he managed the storage engine group for Oracle Database/Exadata, and co-authored numerous patents in the area of distributed databases. Dheeraj’s entrepreneurial spirit has been recognized with a number of prestigious awards including Dell’s Founders 50 and the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year, Silicon Valley. Dheeraj is a Ph.D. dropout from University of Texas (Austin), where he was a Graduate Fellow of CS. He holds a BS in CS from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT, Kanpur), where he was adjudged the “Best All-Rounder Student Among All Graduating Students in All Disciplines” and bestowed with the Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Sudheesh Nair

President

Sudheesh is President of Nutanix, the leader in enterprise cloud infrastructure. As organizations rapidly change the ways in which they consume IT, manufacturers must also evolve their composition, thinking and methods. Sudheesh focuses on building a world-class team of enablers and disrupters who believe that innovation can, and should, happen in every function and at every level. Prior to Nutanix, Sudheesh worked in various field-facing roles for many California startup companies including XIV (an IBM Company), ONStor, Zambeel.

Tyler Wall

Chief Legal Officer

Tyler is the Chief Legal Officer. Prior to joining Nutanix, Wall was Senior Vice President, General Counsel at Red Book Connect, LLC in San Francisco. Before that, Mr. Wall held the position of Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary at Brocade where he was responsible for all aspects of Brocade’s legal department functions and led a team of 30 attorneys, contract managers, and compliance staff. Wall has also held senior leadership positions at prominent software companies including Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Chordiant Software and Corporate Counsel at Oracle Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Utah and a J.D. / M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.

Duston Williams

Chief Financial Officer

Duston is a well-recognized industry leader with more than 30 years of financial management experience in both public and private technology companies, including over 20 years as a CFO. During his career, Duston has served as the CFO of two multi-billion dollar revenue companies and raised well over $3 billion in financing. Over the past 10 years, he has led three companies through an IPO, including his most recent IPO at Nutanix (NASDAQ: NTNX). Prior to joining Nutanix, Duston led Gigamon’s (NYSE: GIMO) $150 million IPO. Prior to Gigamon, Duston severed as CFO of Sandforce through its $400 million acquisition by LSI Corporation (NASDAQ: LSI). Before Sandforce, Duston led Infinera’s (NASDAQ: INFN) $210 million IPO in June 2007, along with a $220 million secondary offering in October 2007. Duston also served as CFO of Maxtor Corporation (NASDAQ: MXTR) where he played a significant role in its sale to Seagate (NASDAQ: STX). During his 14-year tenure at Western Digital Corporation (NASDAQ: WDC), including four years as CFO, the company grew from $200 million to over $4 billion in revenues.

Lou Attanasio

Chief Revenue Officer

Lou Attanasio has over 35 years of technology and sales leadership experience, with a strong track record of results growing global sales organizations. Lou serves as the Chief Revenue Officer at Nutanix. Lou is responsible for leading the company’s global sales efforts, which include field and technical sales, inside sales, channel and OEM sales, and professional services. Most recently, Lou was Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at Informatica, the enterprise cloud data management company. Prior to Informatica, Lou was General Manager for IBM’s high growth and strategic hybrid cloud portfolio, which included application development, deployment and management, application services, and Bluemix. Prior to that, Lou served in several leadership roles within IBM including General Manager of Global Sales for IBM Systems Middleware, as well as running software sales for North America East.

Ravi Mhatre

Founder, Lightspeed Ventures Ravi is a founder of Lightspeed and focuses primarily on software infrastructure, applications and Internet investments. He has fifteen years of venture capital experience and six years of operating experience. Before joining Lightspeed, Ravi was with Bessemer Venture Partners and invested in NetGenesis Software (NTGX), Verio (VRIO), VIA-Networks (VNWI), Webspective Software (acquired by Inktomi) and InCert Software (acquired by Geodesic). Before entering the venture capital industry, Ravi was with Silicon Graphics, where he was a product manager and later directed the company's workstation market development efforts. Previously, he spent time in Lehman Brothers' technology investment banking group and in management consulting with Booz Allen Hamilton. Ravi began his career as a software engineer at BDIS, a Silicon Valley-based analytical instrument manufacturer. Ravi has served on the Board of Directors for The Indus Entrepreneurs Group (TiE) in Silicon Valley, has been recognized as a Top 100 dealmaker on Forbes' Annual VC Midas List and has served as a judge for the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Competition. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and an MBA from Stanford University.

Ben Gibson

Chief Marketing Officer

Ben Gibson is the Chief Marketing Officer of Nutanix where he oversees the company’s global marketing strategy to accelerate customer adoption of its enterprise cloud solutions. Before joining Nutanix, Ben was Chief Marketing Officer at F5 Networks, where he was responsible for leading the application networking and security company’s global marketing. Before F5 Networks, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Veritas, where he supervised a global team of marketing professionals and led the company’s rebranding efforts following a spin-off from Symantec. Prior to Veritas, Ben spent five years as Chief Marketing Officer at Aruba Networks. During his tenure at Aruba the company tripled its annual revenue as it expanded from wireless networking into mobile security and location services. Earlier in his career, Ben held several marketing leadership roles at Cisco, including Vice President of Data Center/Virtualization Marketing. In this role he ran the outbound marketing strategy and execution for a number of Cisco’s application networking products. Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree from California State University - Long Beach.

Manoj Agarwal

VP, Engineering

Manoj has extensive experience in building large scale and high velocity engineering team. He is responsible for Acropolis, Platform infrastructure, OEM & Hardware engineering at Nutanix. Manoj transitioned from a printing hardware development at a public company to storage development in fast pace startup environment, to ultra fast pace environment of Nutanix. Most recently, he was Director of Engineering in Enterprise Storage solutions division of SanDisk. Prior to that, he held several engineering roles at Pliant Technology, Electronics For Imaging, Synopsys and STMicroelectronics. He brings with him over 15 years of experience building and scaling teams for delivering enterprise grade products. Manoj received his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur.

Wendy Pfeiffer

Chief Information Officer

Wendy is the CIO of Nutanix, where she leads the global Information Technology team and functions that support the company’s business operations and employees. Prior to Nutanix, Wendy led technology teams for industry-makers like GoPro, Yahoo!, Cisco Systems, Exodus Communications and Robert Half. Dedicated to excellence in operations and delivery while maintaining a focus on innovation, Wendy has played a key role in envisioning and delivering business technologies for the past two decades.

Rukmini Sivaraman

Chief of Staff

Rukmini Sivaraman joins our executive team as Chief of Staff. She brings a combination of extensive finance and technology experience. She comes from Goldman Sachs where she spent 8 years executing strategic transactions including IPOs, mergers & acquisitions, and debt financing for technology companies. Rukmini is also an electrical engineer, and enjoys working at the intersection of technology and business. Prior to Goldman Sachs, she worked at Cypress Semiconductor. Rukmini has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

Sunil Potti

Chief Product & Development Officer

Sunil feels blessed to have been part of many industry leading, blockbuster products and world class teams over the last two decades. Most recently, he led the Citrix NetScaler business over many consecutive years of record breaking growth to emerge as a respected, industry leading solution for data center infrastructure powering most of the world’s largest clouds, internet properties and global enterprises and service providers. Sunil joined Citrix from F5 Networks, where he was the Vice President of the Acceleration and Virtualization Group. Prior to F5, he co-founded and led all product efforts for Application-Oriented Networking at Cisco. Sunil’s background includes being in the early team at Synchrony, a CRM startup, heading products and engineering and was acquired by Divine. Before that, he worked at Sybase in various roles, including leading the Sybase Central Architecture team. Sunil holds a master’s degree in computer science from Pennsylvania State University.

Julie O’Brien

VP, Corporate Marketing

As the VP of Corporate Marketing for Nutanix, Julie is responsible for leading global brand strategy, corporate communications, channel and alliance marketing, demand generation, corporate social responsibility, marketing operations, corporate events and regional marketing in APJ, Americas and EMEA. She holds more than 20 years of global marketing and leadership experience from start-up to large enterprise companies including Good Technology, Box, Cisco and SightPath, which was acquired by Cisco. Julie serves on the board of advisors for Workforce Opportunity Services and Demand Spring. She graduated from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass with a B.A./M.B.A.

David Sangster

EVP, Operations

David brings more than 20 years of product development, manufacturing and operations experience to the company. Most recently, he was at EMC, where he held the position of VP of Manufacturing Technology. Prior to EMC, he was VP of Operations at Data Domain (acquired by EMC in 2009) where he built out the manufacturing and supply chain capabilities to scale the company through a successful IPO in 2007. Previously, David held senior positions at Hewlett Packard and McDATA in a variety of engineering and manufacturing management positions. David holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, a MS in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Inder Sidhu

EVP, Global Customer Success & Business Operations

Inder is the Executive Vice President of Global Customer Success and Business Operations of Nutanix. He brings to the company 30 years of experience in the technology industry and a deep background of customer experience management, as well as strategic and operational expertise. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Planning for Worldwide Sales at Cisco, where he architected Cisco’s global go-to-market engine, which helped the company grow from $1 billion in annual revenue to $50 billion. He also co-led Cisco’s $16 billion Enterprise business, its $7 billion Emerging Countries business, and its 1,200-person digitally-driven Worldwide Professional Services business. Prior to Cisco, Inder was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, an engineer with Intel and an entrepreneur at Excelan, a successful Silicon Valley start-up. He is a frequently requested speaker, and has taught at Harvard, Stanford, The Wharton School at UPenn and UC Berkeley.

Sherry Lautenbach

SVP, Americas Sales

Sherry is Senior Vice President of Americas Sales. Prior to joining Nutanix, Sherry Lautenbach spent 23 years at IBM leading and growing successful sales teams. As a member of IBM’s senior leadership team, she was one of 300 executives focused on the overall strategy for the company. Her most recent role at IBM was as Vice President of Industry Solutions and Strategic Business Development in North America where she was responsible for leading services sales teams to deliver industry specific strategic solutions. She held other sales leadership roles in her tenure at IBM including General Manager of the distribution market in North America, where she led a 1,000-person sales team that generated billions in annual revenue. Sherry is a graduate of the Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University and holds a bachelor degree in History.

Rajiv Mirani

SVP, Engineering

Rajiv has held various engineering leadership roles in the areas of networking and application security. Most recently, he was vice president of engineering at Citrix where he led research and development on the NetScaler product line. Prior to joining Citrix, Rajiv was a co-founder and vice president of engineering at Teros, a pioneering company in the area of application firewalls. Teros was acquired by Citrix in 2005. Rajiv holds a Ph.D. from Yale University and a BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Ken Long

VP, Corp. Controller & Chief Accounting Officer

Ken brings to Nutanix 20 years of experience in corporate financial planning and public accounting roles. He spent nearly 8 years in public accounting with Big 4 accounting firms where his experience included SEC filings, initial and secondary public offerings, private placement debt offerings, mergers, acquisitions, etc. He also brings a proven track record in private industry, holding finance executive positions at both public and private software companies including Chief Accounting Officer of NetIQ, Chief Financial Officer of Electric Cloud and Vice President of Finance of StrongMail Systems. Ken is a licensed CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Jeff Parks

Jeff Parks is a founding General Partner of Riverwood Capital. Riverwood Capital is a globally-focused private equity firm that invests in high-growth businesses in the technology and services industries, across a variety of verticals and geographies. Founded in 2008, Riverwood has raised over $1 billion since inception. Prior to co-founding Riverwood, Jeff was an investment executive at KKR. At KKR, Jeff worked on large scale leveraged buyout investments across all major technology verticals. Prior to joining KKR, Jeff was an investment professional in the Principal Opportunities Fund at Oaktree Capital Management, where he specialized in private equity investment in distressed companies. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker at UBS Investment Bank in Los Angeles. Jeff earned a Dual BA in Economics and Mathematics from Pomona College (Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) in Claremont, California. He is a director of SintecMedia (Chairman), Virtual Instruments and Accellion.

Michael Scarpelli

Michael Scarpelli joined in 2011 and currently serves as ServiceNow's Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining ServiceNow, Scarpelli served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Operations of the Backup Recovery Systems Division at EMC from July 2009 to August 2011. From September 2006 to July 2009, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Data Domain. Prior to joining Data Domain, Scarpelli served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Lexar Media, Inc. from January 2006 until August 2006, when Micron Technology, Inc. acquired Lexar. From January 2002 to December 2005, he held senior positions at HPL Technologies, Inc. Scarpelli began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from May 1989 to December 2001. Scarpelli holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Western Ontario.

Steven Gomo

Steven Gomo has served as an advisor to Nutanix since January 2015. Mr. Gomo was Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer from October 2004 until his retirement in December 2011, and Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer from August 2002 to September 2004, at NetApp, Inc. Mr. Gomo was also Chief Financial Officer of Gemplus International S.A. from November 2000 to April 2002, Chief Financial Officer of Asera, Inc. from February 2000 to November 2000 and Chief Financial Officer of Silicon Graphics, Inc. from February 1998 to February 2000. Previously, Mr. Gomo spent 24 years at Hewlett-Packard Company serving in various finance, financial management, manufacturing, and general management positions. Mr. Gomo has a BS in Business Administration from Oregon State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University. Mr. Gomo is a Director at SanDisk Corporation and has served as a Director of Enphase Energy Inc. and NetSuite, Inc. and has been on the Board of Trustees of Oregon State University since October 2011. Mr. Gomo previously served as a Director and member of the Audit Committee of Macromedia, Inc. from April 2004 until its acquisition in December 2005.

John McAdam

John McAdam joined the Nutanix Board of Directors in August 2015. He currently serves as Board of Directors chair for F5 Networks, a provider of application delivery and networking technology. He has held that role since retiring as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company in July 2015. Prior to joining F5 Networks, Mr. McAdam served as General Manager of the Web server sales business at IBM from September 1999 to July 2000. From January 1995 until August 1999, Mr. McAdam served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Sequent Computer Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of high-end open systems, which was sold to IBM in September 1999. Mr. McAdam serves on the board of directors of Tableau Software and Apptio. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.

Craig Conway

Craig Conway has served as a member of our board of directors since October 2017. Mr. Conway previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of PeopleSoft, Inc., an enterprise application software company from 1999 to 2004. Mr. Conway currently serves on the board of directors and compensation committee of Salesforce.com, a cloud-based customer relationship management company, and on the board of directors and audit committee of Guidewire Software, Inc., a provider of software products to insurance companies. Mr. Conway also served as a director of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., a semiconductor company, from September 2009 until May 2013. Mr. Conway holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the State University of New York at Brockport. We believe that Mr. Conway is qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors based on his extensive and broad management experience, gained from his background as the president and chief executive officer of multiple technology companies and from serving on the board of directors of several public companies.

Susan L. Bostrom

Susan L. Bostrom has served as a member of our board of directors since October 2017. Ms. Bostrom served as Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, Worldwide Government Affairs of Cisco Systems, Inc., a networking equipment provider, from January 2006 to January 2011. Prior to that, from 1997 to January 2006, Ms. Bostrom served in various positions at Cisco, including Senior Vice President, Global Government Affairs and the Internet Business Solutions Group and Vice President of Applications and Services Marketing. Ms. Bostrom currently serves on the boards of directors, compensation committees and nominating and governance committees of Cadence Design Systems, Inc., an electronic design software company, ServiceNow, Inc., a company providing cloud-based solutions, and Varian Medical Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of medical devices and software. She serves as the Chair of the compensation committee of Varian, and the Chair of the nominating and governance committee of ServiceNow. Ms. Bostrom previously served as a member of the board of directors of Rocket Fuel Inc., an artificial intelligence media buying company, from February 2013 until its acquisition by Sizmek, Inc. in Septebmer 2017, and Marketo, Inc., a provider of software as a service marketing automation solutions, from May 2012 until its acquisition by Vista Equity Partners in August 2016. Ms. Bostrom holds a B.S. in Business from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. We believe that Ms. Bostrom is qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors due to her extensive experience and leadership roles in the technology industry, and her experience serving on the board of directors of several public companies.

Mary Emerton

VP, Manufacturing

Mary is the Vice President of Manufacturing at Nutanix and is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing Nutanix’s appliances, including supply chain, planning, forecasting, logistics, new product introduction, quality systems and factory management. Mary has a strong record of delivering high-performance, cross-functional business solutions within both rapid growth and large enterprises. Prior to joining Nutanix, she was Director of Supply Chain and Fulfillment at Blue Coat Systems. Mary brings more than 20 years of manufacturing and operational experience to the company and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Purchasing and Logistics Management from Arizona State University.

Binny Gill

Chief Architect

Binny has extensive experience in building distributed systems that evolve towards simplicity. At Nutanix, Binny leads the technical vision and architecture of the product portfolio. Prior to Nutanix, he was at IBM Research where he led the next generation of flash technologies in storage systems. He is the three-time recipient of the highest technical award in IBM research, and four-time recipient of the Research Accomplishment award for significantly impacting IBM business through his work. Binny is the inventor of key caching algorithms in DRAM and Flash technologies and is the author of more than a dozen well-cited publications. He holds more than 50 issued patents in the fields of flash, caching algorithms, distributed storage systems, and virtualization. Binny received his Masters degree in Computer Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Bachelors degree in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur.

Namit Jain

VP Engineering, Products

Namit has extensive experience in building distributed systems. At Nutanix, he heads engineering at Nutanix India, and has built it ground-up. Prior to Nutanix, he worked at Facebook, and was the first PMC chair for Apache Hive, a data warehouse infrastructure built on top of Hadoop. He has presented Hive at a number of conferences and academic forums, and holds many patents. Before Facebook, he worked at Oracle in the database and application server groups. He received his Masters degree in Computer Science from University of Minnesota at Minneapolis, and Bachelors degree in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur.

Raja Mukhopadhyay

VP, Product Management

Raja leads the Product Management team at Nutanix. His responsibilities span all facets of product management including framing up the company vision, defining the product roadmap and operationalizing the company’s different go-to-market motions. His product philosophy is driven by his conviction that listening to customers, empathizing with their pain and arranging the business priorities accordingly is what makes companies successful. Raja brings with him over 15 years of experience building and scaling teams in the datacenter infrastructure space. Most recently, he was Director Product Management in Oracle’s Engineered Systems group. Prior to that he held product management and engineering roles in Juniper Networks, Marvell Technology Group and Foundry Networks. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley, an MS from UC Davis and a BTech from IIT Kanpur.

Satyam Vaghani

VP, Technology

Satyam Vaghani leads technology roadmap and go-to-market for current products, and advanced development. Prior to Nutanix, he was a co-founder and CTO at PernixData, where he built the engineering team and the flagship server-side storage acceleration product from scratch, and later led product development on an infrastructure analytics and a storage product. Satyam started his career as an early employee at VMware, where he spent a decade delivering fundamental hypervisor and storage innovations in vSphere. He was Principal Engineer and Storage CTO, and most known for creating the Virtual Machine File System (VMFS), VAAI, and Virtual Volumes, which together set a storage standard for server virtualization. Satyam has authored 50+ issued patents, led industry-wide changes in storage systems and standards, and has been a regular speaker at VMworld and other industry and academic forums. Satyam received his Masters in CS from Stanford and Bachelors in CS from BITS Pilani.

Greg Smith

VP, Product Marketing

Greg Smith is the VP of Product Marketing at Nutanix. He is responsible for bringing Nutanix Enterprise Cloud technologies to market – helping customers maximize their datacenter investment. Prior to joining Nutanix, Greg held leadership roles in leading enterprise software companies, including Citrix, NetScaler, Teros and Check Point Software. Greg holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly, and is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned his MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

Patrick D. Cowden

VP, Central Europe & Emerging Markets

Patrick is the Vice President of Central Europe and Emerging Markets. His responsibilities include Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Russia. Spanning more than 50 countries and 30 languages, he covers one of the most exciting regions in the world. Patrick has spent over 30 years in the IT and Telco space. At companies such as Cap Gemini, EDS, EMC, Dell, and Hitachi Data Systems, Patrick's experience spanned the spectrum of hardware and software, including full service outsourcing and management consulting. He started as a Systems Engineer and worked his way through marketing and sales up to General Manager and Vice President. Born German-American and married to a Vietnamese, Patrick brings together the best attributes of American, European, and Asian cultures. The last 4 years prior to Nutanix, Patrick focused on developing a leadership model (Beyond Leadership) that fully activates the human potential in organizations. He continues to teach at top schools and speak at major conferences around the world on the topic of future leadership and organizational culture. Patrick was trained as a Meteorologist in the US Navy and as a Mainframe Systems Programmer at Control Data. He lives in Berlin with his wife and 2 kids.

David Freeman

VP, SI & Corporate Sales

David has 17 years of experience in finance & planning roles. At Nutanix, David is responsible for Sales Operations, Inside Sales, Sales Enablement and Business Systems. Prior to Nutanix, David was VP of Business Planning & Operations at Zscaler where he led sales operations & business planning. Prior to that, David was Director of Finance at Palo Alto Networks where he played an instrumental role in building key financial models that helped facilitate the company’s rapid and predictable sales growth. Earlier in his career, David held various finance roles at NetSuite & Intel including playing a key role in the NetSuite IPO. David has a BA degree from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Anton Granic

VP, Sales - US West & Canada

Anton Granic is Vice President of Sales for the America’s West and Canada at Nutanix. Prior to taking on this expanded role, Anton was responsible for building out a high performance team in Canada, which not only included sales, but also channel, marketing, and distribution at a National Level. A company builder, and a huge advocate of innovation and disruption, Anton has over 20 years experience as a top producing Sales Professional. Previous to Nutanix, Anton worked for Palo Alto Networks, where he helped build out the region to be the top producing territory Globally during his tenure. This success was preceded with similar results with Security pioneers and innovators Utimaco (later acquired by Sophos), and Clearswift. Anton graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A in Political Science and History.

Dave Gwyn

VP, Sales - US East & LATAM

Dave Gwyn has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. His experience includes three years of programming on NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope program, followed by fifteen years in the federal IT industry as a Consultant, Account Manager and Federal Director for companies including Powersoft, Sybase, SilverStream, Plumtree, and BEA. Prior to joining Nutanix in August 2012, he spent five years at VMware managing sales to the US Army, focused on server and desktop virtualization.

Irene Au

Irene Au is an operating partner at Khosla Ventures, where she works with portfolio companies to make their design great. Irene has unprecedented experience building and leading User Experience teams, as she has led the entire UX team at Google (2006-2012), Yahoo! (1998-2006), and Udacity (2012-2014). She began her career as an interaction designer at Netscape Communications. Irene also teaches yoga and meditation at Avalon Art and Yoga Center, one of Palo Alto’s oldest and most established yoga studios. She co-chairs the Board of Trustees at Bowman International School, a K-8 private Montessori school in Palo Alto. Irene holds a bachelor’s of science in electrical and computer engineering from the University of South Carolina Honors College where she graduated summa cum laude and a master’s of science degree in industrial engineer and human-computer interaction from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Lane M. Bess

Chief Operating Officer, Zscaler Lane Bess has spent over 28 years as an operational executive. He has successfully launched start-ups and scaled medium sized businesses to large scale. Most recently between 2008 and 2010, Lane was CEO of Palo Alto Networks where he led the fundraising and scaled the company from its early go-to-market to a revenue run rate of over $100 million and cash flow positive. Prior to Palo Alto Networks, he served as the EVP of Worldwide Sales and General Manager of publicly traded Trend Micro Inc. (Nikkei) - growing worldwide revenues to over $1 billion annually. With core strengths in Sales, Marketing and Product Management Mr. Bess has deep expertise in driving high growth for computing, network security, and software companies. His business experience includes providing critical technology solutions to Fortune 2000 companies, large enterprises, mid-size businesses, as well as consumer markets. Through continuous leverage of distribution channels, Lane has been consistently recognized as a leading "channel friendly" executive. During Lane's career he has also held senior Sales and Marketing roles at NCR Corporation and AT&T. During his time at NCR, he oversaw Multinational Corporation sales and managed large global sales divisions. At AT&T, Lane was responsible for the product launches of AT&T's Business and Consumer Internet services in the mid 90s. Mr. Bess holds a B.S. Degree in Managerial Economics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Masters Degree from University of Dayton.

Chris Howard

Chris Howard is a Vice President of Federal sales for the Nutanix team. He has been selling into the Federal Government for 15+ years with an emphasis on Virtualization and Infrastructure solutions for Data Centers. Prior to joining Nutanix he spent 6+ years managing the US Army Business at VMware and also 3 years at Dell supporting the US Army. He received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting from West Virginia University.

Chris Kaddaras

Chris Kaddaras joined Nutanix as Vice President and Head of EMEA in October 2016. Chris was with EMC Corporation for 15 years, where he held positions including Vice President of Sales and Presales across EMEA. With a 24-year track record in IT and a passion for developing strategies to help business successfully articulate its proposition to customers and partners, his insight on leadership, operational efficiency, performance and communications is regularly shared with peers and customers through industry events.

Keith Moran

VP, Sales - Central US & SLED

Keith Moran is Vice President for the Central US and SLED at Nutanix, leading a high performance team across the Enterprise business segment as well as the State, Local Government and Education segment. Keith has been instrumental in scaling key Channel, OEM and Alliance partners for Nutanix. Keith has focused the majority of his career in the Converged and Hyper-Converged sector focusing on virtualized infrastructure for the data center. He has held a variety of sales and management positions at EMC and NetApp focused on building a world class sales organization.

Pai joined Nutanix in early 2014 to transform Nutanix into a platform company and build a strong partner ecosystem with OEMs, technology partners and Healthcare vendors with a further charter to accelerate the growth of the company with sales and marketing pursuits and deliver unique product capabilities and innovative solutions that meets the needs of the customer and the market. With over 25 years of technology experience with Hitachi Data Systems, Brocade Communications, Oracle Corporation and Riverbed Technology, he brings a wealth of experience in building world-class alliance organizations. Bob Wallace

VP, OEM & Inside Sales

As one of the first Sales leaders to join Nutanix, Bob has been instrumental in building the sales engine that has enabled Nutanix to achieve our unprecedented growth. In his initial role as Vice President of Corporate Sales Bob was responsible for creating and managing the foundational sales processes, enablement and operational standards that have allowed us to dynamically scale while maintaining maximum productivity. When we brought on our first OEM partner, Bob was tapped to build and lead our global OEM Sales organization that is now known for consistent success based on authentic, trusting partnerships. Prior to joining Nutanix, Bob held various technology sales and sales leadership roles at companies including IBM, EMC, Good Technology, Silicon Graphics and most recently Palo Alto Networks where he held several key sales leadership roles from the company’s early start-up phase through their IPO.

Matt Young

SVP, Sales - APAC

Matt Young is Senior Vice President for Nutanix Asia Pacific and Japan, where he is responsible for leading all aspects of Nutanix’s operations across the region, including leading sales and support, business planning and strategy development, customer care, management of Nutanix’s country offices, and Nutanix’s alliances and channel strategy across the region while ensuring a superior customer experience. Matt brings over 20 years of global sales and executive management experience to Nutanix, growing and scaling emerging technology companies. Prior to joining Nutanix, he served as Vice President of Asia Pacific for Nicira Networks which was acquired by VMware in 2012 for $1.2B. During his more than 20 years in the technology industry, Matt has served on the executive management teams of Blue Coat Systems, Fortinet, Cosine, ACT Networks, Lucent Technologies and Transition Networks. Matt received his bachelor of individualized studies and a minor in Chinese and Japanese from the University of Minnesota.

Alan Boehme

Chief of Enterprise Architecture, Business Innovation and Emerging Technologies at Coca-Cola Alan Boehme has received worldwide acclaim for his ability to jump-start and transform global business through the innovative use of technology to enter new markets, improve customer service, and enable business-processes change across a wide range of functions. Before joining Coca-Cola, Alan has worked with a number of innovative IT organizations: Alan served as the senior vice president, IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture at ING; as the vice president and CIO for Juniper Networks; as the executive vice president and CIO for Sage Software; and as the e-technology and e-business CIO for GE Power Systems. He also held various senior positions with DHL Express.

Ben Gibson

Chief Marketing Officer, Aruba Networks Ben Gibson brings 20 years of IT industry experience to Aruba networks, where he serves as Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Gibson leads global marketing strategy, including Product and Solution Marketing, Corporate Communications, Brand, Demand Generation, Theater and Channel Marketing. B.V. Jagadeesh

A renowned angel investor and serial entrepreneur, B.V. Jagadeesh has decades of experience leading industry-disrupting companies. As the Founder and CTO of Exodus, he helped pioneer the concept of Internet DataCenters. He seed funded NetScaler, later serving as the company’s president and CEO before its acquisition by Citrix in 2005. Currently Jagadeesh is a managing partner at KAAJ Ventures, where his investments include Ocarina Networks (acquired by Dell), Ankeena Networks (acquired by Juniper), Valence Energy (acquired by Serious Materials), Cloud Velocity, ScaleArc, Nutanix, Fonemine and Whodini.

Mark Leslie

Managing Director, Leslie Ventures Mark Leslie is currently the managing director of Leslie Ventures, a private investment company. He is also a Lecturer in Management at Stanford Graduate School of Business where he teaches courses in Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Sales Organization. Mark Leslie was the founding Chairman and CEO of Veritas Software. During his tenure as CEO the company went from 12 employees to 6,000 employees deployed globally, and from a revenue base of $95,000 per year to $1,500,000,000 per year. In 2000 Veritas was the tenth largest independent software company by revenue, third largest by market capitalization, and achieved the distinction of becoming a Fortune 1000 company. From 1980 until 1990 he served as president and chief executive officer of two Silicon Valley high- tech start up companies. Prior experience included sales management, sales executive, systems engineer, and software engineer. Mark Leslie designed and developed the first software hypervisor while employed at IBM in 1969. Mark currently serves on the boards of a number of privately held high-technology corporations, including Librato, Liquid Robotics, Model N Software, PureStorage, SeaMicro Systems, Skybox Imaging, Sugar CRM, Wall Street Systems and Xsigo Corporation. In addition he serves on the board of Overseers for the NYU Faculty of Arts and Sciences, as Chairman of the NYU Science Advisory Board, and as a member of the Executive Board of the NYU Innovation Fund. Mark received a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics and mathematics from New York University in 1966 and completed Harvard Business School's program for management development in 1980.

Deepak Malhotra

Eli Goldston Professor of Business Administration in the Negotiations, Organizations & Markets Unit Harvard Business School. He teaches courses on Negotiation in the MBA program, and in a wide variety of executive programs, including the Owner/President Management Program. Deepak has won numerous awards for his teaching, including the HBS Faculty Award by Harvard Business School's MBA Class of 2011, and (twice) the Charles M. Williams Awardfrom the Harvard Business School. In both 2011 and 2012, the MBA students selected Deepak to give the end-of-year speech to graduating students. His work has also received considerable media attention, including multiple appearances by Deepak on CNBC. Deepak's professional activities include training, consulting, and advisory work for firms across the globe. He is also an advisor to InterMediate, a non-profit organization that advises heads of state on peace process design and negotiating the end to armed conflicts.

Frank Slootman

President and Chief Executive Officer, ServiceNow Frank Slootman has served as ServiceNow's President and Chief Executive Officer, and as a director, since May 2, 2011. Prior to joining ServiceNow, Slootman served as a partner with Greylock Partners, a venture capital firm from January 2011 to April 2011, and served as an advisor to EMC Corporation from January 2011 to February 2012. From July 2009 to January 2011, he served as President of the Backup Recovery Systems Division at EMC. From July 2003 to July 2009, Slootman served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Data Domain, Inc., a data storage solution company, which was acquired by EMC in 2009. As the CEO of Data Domain, he blazed new trails creating a high-growth enterprise storage company that went public on NASDAQ in 2007. Prior to joining Data Domain, Slootman served as an executive at Borland Software Corporation from June 2000 to June 2003, most recently as Senior Vice President of Products. From March 1993 to June 2000, Slootman held consecutive general management positions for two enterprise software divisions of Compuware Corporation. Slootman holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics from the Netherlands School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Ajeet Singh

Co-founder & CEO, ThoughtSpot Ajeet is Co-founder and CEO at ThoughtSpot. Prior to founding ThoughtSpot, Ajeet was Co-founder and Chief Products Officer at Nutanix where he built and led Marketing, Product Management and Manufacturing functions. Ajeet and his team defined a “No SAN” market segment that is changing the landscape in the $20B storage market. Prior to Nutanix, Ajeet learnt the ropes of enterprise technology startups at Aster Data (acquired by Teradata for $300M), where he was Senior Director of Product Management. Before that, Ajeet worked at Oracle where he was part of the team that first launched Oracle Database to the Amazon EC2 cloud. Ajeet holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where he graduated at the top of his class.

Dr. Willy Zwaenepoel

Professor and Dean, EPFL, PhD (Stanford, 1984) Willy Zwaenepoel is currently Professor and Dean at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. EPFL is Europe's top-ranked university in the field of Engineering, Technology and Computer Sciences. Willy Zwaenepoel has worked in a variety of aspects of operating systems and distributed systems, including microkernels, fault tolerance, parallel scientific computing on clusters of workstations, clusters for web services, and mobile computing. He is most well known for his work on the Treadmarks distributed shared memory system, which was licensed to Intel and became the basis for Intel's OpenMP cluster product. His work on high-performance software for network I/O led to the creation of iMimic Networking, Inc, which he led from 2000 to 2005. His current projects include database replication, I/O performance of virtual machines, and software update mechanisms. Before joining EPFL in 2002, Willy Zwaenepoel was on the faculty at Rice University, where he was the Karl F. Hasselmann Professor of Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering. He was elected Fellow of the IEEE in 1998, and Fellow of the ACM in 2000. He won best paper awards at SigComm 1984, OSDI 1999, Usenix 2000, Usenix 2006 and Eurosys 2007. He was program chair of OSDI in 1996 and Eurosys in 2006, and general chair of Mobisys in 2004. He was also an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems from 1998 to 2002. In 2000, he also received the Rice University Graduate Student Association Teaching and Mentoring Award.
