The Regular Season Beard
by Jesse Cohen @KingsMenPodcast / LAKings.com

While some traditions are hard wired into the game we all love there are some that have developed "organically" over the years. One such tradition is the playoff beard. That year, for the first time, the NHL asked the fans to vote on the All-Star starting line-up. In previous seasons, coaches or the Professional Hockey Writers Association picked the teams.
"It's a joke," snapped Butch Goring.
