A better opportunity

Use everyday as an opportunity to make tomorrow even better.

It was just a month ago when I posted about the job I got and that it pays very well. Well, unfortunately, that didn’t work out. Two weeks after joining them, they terminated me just because I made minor mistakes, which I think is normal because I was still under training. Anyway, I didn’t give up, and that didn’t demotivate me either. Maybe their set standards was just too high to give justice to the salary they offer. That’s pretty much understood. So I thought, let me just enjoy the holidays with the family and decide later on.

So right after the New Year, I religiously looked for jobs that suit me and luckily, I got hired again a week later. Just in time, I was able to attend the planned meet/greet and brainstorming with the UK team that happened two days ago. After the whole day activity, we all checked in, in a hotel, had dinner and personal conversations. That also reminded me that in every door that closes, a better opportunity comes in. Indeed, it is. The moment I sat with the whole team, I knew I made the right decision to wait and look at a better offer. When I say better offer,

4 Simple skin regimen for you

Aging process is something that we cannot stop and avoid. As you age, a lot of changes occur that sometimes stress you out including the thought of spending a fortune to actually maintain ones skin. This is a common misconception that majority have. Having beautiful skin does not always mean you need to break the bank and buy the most expensive skin care products just for the search of our skin’s holy grail. It doesn’t need to be like that simply because you just need to know and understand your skin type in order to be able to manage it and turn it to a more beautiful skin without paying too much! Change of lifestyle matters, too!

Dear Berry, will you make me merry?

I never thought I’d get conscious on how I look when I reached 40. I was never beauty conscious. I was one of those women who could go out and show-off their natural look, without even getting bothered if they put the right lipstick on for the day, or done their brows evenly. But the more I look in the mirror closer, the more I notice the unwanted blemishes and lines that make me feel older than my actual age.

The problem is I don’t know what products I should buy that match my skin tone, and well, age definitely.  I sometimes doubt the ladies-in-charge of each make-up section in the malls because I know they are more particular of the after sales that they should bring in at the end of the day. Apart from the “pasalubongs” that I get from my husband and brother, I have also tried several drugstore-bought make-ups, but was never satisfied. Besides the quality, I also consider the “price tags” that are attached to it. Being the naturally impulsive buyer that I am, I don’t want to end up doing the same with the things that should actually go in my least priority list.

Chancing upon Dear Berry’s products, I find these pretty affordable and safe. Among the many, here are the items that I have written in my wishlist:

Cover Girl BB Primer #2 Natural Beige | Brand: Cosmax Inc | Product Code: DB101

On my idle time, I watch make-up tutorials on YouTube with my daughters. In every tutorial made, a Primer is always present. I don’t think I have ever used such thing. When I put on my make-up, I would go directly to applying foundation after the moisturizer.  If ever I’d go for a Primer, I’d definitely want something that could do magic, and cover my blemishes which this Cover Girl BB Primer #2 does > Cover blemishes with 3 satisfying effects: whitening, wrinkle care and sunscreen. I am more concerned about the wrinkle care because whether I like it or not, lines are slowly occupying my 40 year old face.

It could sound like this is a hard thing to do especially when you are at risk or you come from a family that has diabetes. In the case of my family, both sides, high cholesterol and hypertension are an added worry. In fact, I’ve cut down my rice intake lately not because I am conscious on how I look, but because I am really trying to be live a healthier life. There are ways wherein you can actually succeed in staying away from diabetes and that’s a simple lifestyle change, and that’s what I trying to achieve.

  1. Lose extra weight – A healthy weight helps control blood sugar levels.
  2. Control your carbohydrates – Manage your carbs intake daily, this will help keep your blood sugar under control.
  3. Keep exercising – Regular exercise daily cuts down stress and triglyceride levels.
  4. Get enough rest – Getting enough sleep leads to a healthier eating habit with improved blood sugar level.
  5. Be conscious about your blood sugar – When you know where you stand and which level your blood sugar is at, you will know if you just need diet or you have to get checked by a physician already.

And when you are conscious about your blood sugar level, you would want to manage and control it. Good thing there’s a supplement that has ingredients which may help manage your blood sugar levels.

BitterGo is a dietary food supplement that is made from high content of Ampalaya Extract,

Make-up Storage/Organizer

It’s such a beauty seeing your stuff organized and in place. Well, I’ve always been organized with my make-ups but I used to keep them in pouches, and in a remote control organizer that I purchased from Japan Homes. They’re nice to look at but when it’s time to use them, it’s a struggle to find one as I need to dig carefully.

Got lucky when I learned that my cousin, Mauilyn, sells this organizer online. Just perfect! No need to pay for the shipping fee! But got luckier when my brother ordered and paid these for me. (Been meaning to buy at least one but I always think it’s not a priority and besides they survived in pouches for years now haha!). He actually preferred the bigger round organizer but I insisted on getting the one with drawers, and buy two instead since the bigger one pretty much costs the same if I get two square ones. I’m such a wise buyer eh?
