I almost gave up on it and started to skim read. Glad I didn't and read it all, I would have definitely missed a lot of the story. Looking forward to seeing how Joanne and David pull off the next book. ( )

A major character returns to stir up the war between the Wardens and Djinn, and Joanne finds herself now fighting an additional faction of evil, as if things weren't screwed up enough for her. This one moves quick, and the reader now get a sense of overall tension building in the plot. I really liked how the Wardens finally revealed their purpose to the general public, explaining how they attempt to control the forces of nature to keep people as safe as possible. Well done..... ( )

Back in force after the previously slightly disappointing preceeding book, "Gale Force" brings it back with the fast paced plot, seemingly impossible situations, interesting characters, the return of an old fiend and a bit of David hotness.

Still enjoying this serious, and happy to note that the chapters have gradually become a better length. But seriously, if David can "heal" a car - how come he can't fix the wedding dress? ( )

This book is fluff. Enjoyable, plot driven, fluff.

While the book was a good antidote to stress, the series is starting to feel a bit worn. The ending where the bad guy gets away at the last minute, was just too obvious a set-up for the next book in the franchise ( )

"Honey!" I yelled. "Get the phone, would you?" Because it was ringing off the hook, and I was a little busy trying to put out a fire. A wildfire, actually, blazing across Alligator Alley along the coast of Florida. It had been burning for three long days, sending choking black smoke our way.
