By road, boat, plane and helicopter: Creating a remote seismic measurement network

The Southern Alaska Lithosphere and Mantle Observation Network (SALMON) is a two-year EarthScope FlexArray project. Using data recorded by 28 of PASSCAL’s broadband seismometers, the goal is to produce images of the crust and upper mantle to better understand active faulting, mantle flow and seismic structure in the Cook Inlet region.
