A great documentary film on a NASCAR HERO.
2 July 2009 | by (Zephyrhills FL) – See all my reviews

I got into NASCAR after watching the movie CARS. I became a fan of both Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. When I found out this movie was coming out to CMT in September 2007 I was just so excited. I loved it. It was better than the 3 movie with Barry Pepper. It really explained Dale's life from racing all the way up until his death on the final lap of the Daytona 500 in February 18 2001. I really liked it when Dale called Dale Junior a teddy bear and Dale Junior said No Dad. I'm a polar bear. That was pretty funney. I cried when Dale's death scene came up and the president of Nascar announced Dale's death. It was pretty sad but I'm glad Dale lived and died doing what he loved best. This movie is very good and includes on the DVD bonus features and additional interviews with Dale's friends, family, and competitors. Dale was a true American icon and the story of his life was meant to be told by this documentary film! 10 out of 10! Now I hope that they make a documentary film about Jeff Gordon.
