Here’s a look at some interesting things I read/ saw / thought / did this week.
❉ I need to seriously up my reading game and check out more of the titles on The Buzziest Books of 2017 (So Far) … I don’t think I’ve read any!
❉ But this list of The Best Science Fiction and Fantasy of 2017 So Far is more up my alley.
❉ Do you think it’s true that In the time you spend on social media each year, you could read 200 books?
❉ Would you Read Bad Books … On Purpose? Nope – can’t say I would.
❉ Reading through The Pros and Cons of the Goodreads Challenge I realize that people take this way more seriously than I. Do you know you can change the number? I change it all the time – so I always WIN!

The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware is currently sitting pretty at #8 on the NY Times Bestseller list. I read it but while I thought it was OK – didn’t love it though.

Clutter can accumulate in many places and now, there can also be a lot of digital clutter. Here are a few strategies I use to keep my laptop screen clear of old files and a gazillion programs.

I use my bullet journal for work, and as such, I’ve tried to keep my system very simple. I also travel for work, so my supplies can’t take up too much space. Here’s what I’m using now.

We’re keeping track of the books that we’ve mentioned here on GXO, that we’d like to read this year, and trying to give them first priority. But we’re also mood readers – so we have a few outstanding – and we’re posting about it so we can get our butts in gear. Or strike them off the list. Here’s my mid-year report.

There are lots of ways to add interest to your blog post instead of just having blocks of text. One way is to insert bits of HTML code which will magically turn into symbols on your blog – like checkmarks ✓ – hearts ❤ and stars ✩.
