  • Innovating with new features and improvements to Format.com, our flagship platform
    • We’re constantly seeking to improve our product and many of our best ideas have originated from within the team. As a product lead, you will initiate brainstorming and conversations with the team, and roll up your sleeves to bring design solutions to life.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary team members on new Format features and projects
    • You will be working hands-on with senior engineers, front-end developers, and designers on a wide variety of projects. We work in small teams using an agile methodology, encouraging strong collaboration between team members.
  • Mentoring, growing and guiding the product design team
    • You will work with each designer to develop their skills and encourage them to excel. Overall, you will challenge the team to think beyond the expected. You will also be responsible for growing the product design team as our company grows and should feel comfortable engaging the international product design community.
  • Shaping the Format brand as it relates to to our products
    • Aside from the product itself, you will also be contributing to the direction of our company as a whole through through branding, research, strategy development, and product definition.
  • Help produce creative projects that inspire and give back to the community
  • Participating in design explorations around Format Themes
    • Themes are an integral part of our product. While you will not be directly working to build them, you will contribute essential and critical feedback to the design and development team.
  • Use industry leading tools to simplify and improve your workflow
    • We are always on the look out for tools and resources that speed up our workflow and simplify our lives. Tools being used by the Format design team include: Sketch, Invision, Adobe CC, Github, Dropmark, Asana, Framer JS, Origami, Mailchimp, Litmus, Hipchat
