Description: Some of the early Italian migrants who arrived in the Stanthorpe District after World War Two. This group had been playing bocce, a game similar to bowls or petanque, on the roadside opposite the Thulimbah welding works. From left to right are Guerino (Nino) Mattiazzi, just arived in Australia, Giuseppe Vedelago, ?, ?, ?, Trixie Mattiazzi and his brother Elia, the boy unknown. Thulimbah railway station can be seen in the background (Description supplied with photograph).
