Tel-Hai College is proud to join Dr. Susana Pendzik, Head of the Drama-Therapy Program in Tel-Hai College and founder of the World Alliance of Drama-Therapy in commemorating the conclusion of the international Drama-Therapy week (October 21-27).

The international drama-therapy week, states Dr. Susana Pendzik, “is intended to raise world consciousness to the drama-therapeutic approach. That was why the World Alliance launched an international online sire, including varied con...tents associated with the approach. It has also launched a social media campaign, in which drama therapists from throughout the world post drama-therapy associated pictures with the #D.T.W hashtag.”

While the formal introduction of the Drama-Therapeautic approach into moden psychotherapy is only 50 years old, its roots go back to ancient traditions stemming from the ancient world and the Fertile Crescent, the cradle of human civilization.

Reviving this ancient tradition and adapting to the modern world and the scientific method aligns perfectly with the pioneering vision of Tel-Hai College. It therefore comes as no surprise that Tel-Hai College, in this as in many other fields,

has pioneered Drama-Therapy studies in Israel, and this year marks 30 years of teaching drama-therapy in the college.

Check out the awesome work of our recent graduate Eden Gedj! From the Galilee to Milan! Eden, a 2019 graduate of the Department of Jewelry Design in The Tel-Hai College, was invited to present her inspiring and beautiful work in Milan’s Artistar Jewels Exhibition this October. Aritsar is the largest and most publicized event of The Milano Jewelry Week. It is an international meeting point, aimed at providing emerging and established designers with an opportunity to display their art, network, and promote their brand. Eden’s phenomenal achievement is an important milestone in offsetting a promising international career. Eden will be presenting pieces from Requiem, her final project as a student of Tel-Hai’s Arts Institute. The project, which explores the phenomenon of coral bleaching, illustrates our dedication to social activism through artistic ingenuity. Rising water temperatures are contributing to the degradation of coral reefs around the world. The tragic destruction of these symbiotic and lively ecosystems is apparent as they lose their vibrant colors and turn white. Eden’s designs, which were born within the colorful pastoral setting of the upper Galilee incorporate copper, alpaca, silver and enamel, to tell, with poetic detail, the story of coral extinction. Moreover, her eye-catching pieces deliver a poignant message about the human impact on environmental destruction. Eden’s designs are a perfect demonstration of Tel Hai’s core values as they combine cutting-edge art with environmental consciousness. We are so proud of you Eden, keep up the good work!
