The @thepositivehaatdarjeeling is the fundraising platform for Shanker Foundation DjNp+, a network of positive people living in the Hills, founded in 2006 by a handful of concerned citizens calling themselves Friends of Shanker.

They came together to help provide funds, care and support for people living with HIV AIDS in the Hills, who faced stigma then and still face discrimination now at work, school, in public and even HealthCare.

The Cream Tart is contributed by Glenary’s... for the annual garage sale on 1st of December at Chowrasta. It’s NOW available at the Coffeeshop. The proceeds of the cake will go to the Positive Haat that will support more than 100 families living with the condition and for some is the ONLY means of income and livelihood.

This Saturday 30th Nov:-
NSPD Collective is an Experimental Rock band out of Gangtok, Sikkim deriving their influences from Post Ambient Rock, Indie Rock, Alternative Rock genre of music. Since all the members come from various bands and experiences, this was going to be a collective effort project, hence the name “NSPD COLLECTIVE.” Ever since the band’s inception in May, 2018, they have toured/performed all over Sikkim starting at the capital Gangtok playing logal/regular gi...gs at a popular Pub ‘Gangtok Groove’ and also played at “Hi-Spirits Pub” in ‘Siliguri.’ The band has performed in bigger stages starting at ‘Mangan, North Sikkim’ during the occasion of the “Pre Tendong Lho Run Faat Festival” on 11th August, 2018, followed by “NERM (North Eastern Riders’ Meet) on 28th October, 2018” at ‘Ravangla, South Sikkim’ as opening band for ‘Parikrama’ a prominent Rock band in India, followed by the “Eco-Tourism Festival” held at ‘Yuksom, West Sikkim’ on 23rd November, 2018 and also during the “Sikkim Red Panda Winter Carnival” on 19th January, 2019.
The band is working on their first EP starting with "ANANTA" being their first single which is out on their Facebook band page
