This was my first time attending a Shabbat service, and I couldn't have chosen a better place. I'm n...ot Jewish, and the couple I sat next to were very helpful, showing me how to navigate the service book. The sad part is that there's a security check before entering the sanctuary. It's a sign of the times, I guess. The music at the service was very uplifting at times, and very solemn at times. I used to listen to the Shabbat service on WQXR many years ago, and I'm very glad I had the opportunity to hear a service in person at Central Synagogue. עוד
