What are your favorite ways to use harissa? I tried the jar from Trader Joe's to throw this quick sheet pan chicken dinner together last night. Turned out pretty yummy - it's not super spicy but it's pretty flavorful and I added preserved lemon for an extra punch.
6:30 - no plan for dinner. 7:30 - Harissa and Preserved Lemon Chicken and Veggies Sheet Pan Dinner. Thx Trader Joe's for the ready made harissa. Glad I had one …preserved lemon left from my stash! And 3.99/lb chicken thighs from New Seasons Market. Also made a yogurt sauce to go w while it was in the oven.
ЕщеMy Halloween treat to you: a tray of Sami Tamimi's Helbeh from page 290 of the "Jerusalem Cookbook" !!
Fesenjan is a Persian stew, usually made with poultry. Check out this recipe for Persian Duck in Pomegranate Walnut Sauce from Edible East Bay in California. Bet it would work well with chicken, too.
