What is a museum? ICOM’s museum definition provides a framework that many museums in the world, if not all, relate to. Revising it is one of the biggest challenges of the museum community. “The museum definition thus seems to need to be historicised, contextualised, de-naturalised and de-colonialised” says Sandhal.
