I'm seriously disappointed in the The Energy Trust and their rebate program. I recently purchased an... $8,000 ductless heat pump with the enticement of a $1,000 rebate. I could have gotten a $4,000 regular furnace that would have served the purpose just as well. Better yet, I could have gotten a few cadet heaters for about $1,000. But, I wanted to contribute to the long term needs of my community and state.
The contractor was a well established group that had done many other units. They assured us that we qualified for the rebate. Applying for the rebate was ridiculously cumbersome and asked for details on the unit that no average consumer would know. It took me quite some time to research it all.
At the end of the day, I rid Oregon of a twenty year old, inefficient furnace and rather than getting my due, I got a letter saying that I didn't qualify for the rebate. I will NEVER go out of my way to support this organization again. In my opinion, their actions border on fraud. עוד

Appliance recycling service. I was given a window of from 7 am to 11 am to have a refrigerator picke...d up. Someone over 18 had to be at the house and it had to be plugged in. They showed up at noon. They were nice and professional when they finally showed, but next time I'll just pay to have it hauled away rather than have to miss most of a day of work. עוד
