I've had the privileged to visit Jerusalem twice this year and each time, I managed to visit the bookshop. I love visiting local bookshops on my travels so this is definitely one I would visit again w...hen I'm back. This bookshop is a testament to the resilience of the Palestinian people. In the heart of occupied Jerusalem--a city unjustly torn and inflicted with oppression, racism, and ethnic cleansing--this lan...dmark serves as a safe haven where you're welcomed and assisted by the Muna family, who own this bookstore and have as a result become a staple in the intellectual resistance of the occupation. Here, you can enjoy intellectual discussions with the owners and other customers, have a cup of coffee (they also have soy milk, btw!), a delicious dessert, and take your time observing the Palestinian art on the walls and superb selection of books and post cards. This shop was an absolute treasure! I led an American tourist group on a 10 day journey through the Holy Land. We stayed in Jerusalem 4 nights at the Ritz Hotel and walking back from the Old City the ...first night stumbled upon this shop. The shop is very clean. Has fantastic coffee, espresso, and pastries. An upper loft. And a lower basement that we rented out for our group the night before we left.

The best part, by far, is the family running the shop, particularly Ahmad. He was a great host as we rented out the basement, provided excellent service, and a great conversational partner both before and after the event. I can't sing his praises (or his uncle's Iyad) enough. A great family.

If you're an American tourist traveling through Jerusalem, you owe it to yourself to take a respite in this shop! הצג עוד

Each and every time I'm in Jerusalem I head like a homing pigeon to this place. I love the bustling street outside. Inside is one of the best bookstores I know anywhere in the world. And the upstairs ...cafe is a lovely spot to linger. Coffee fabulous הצג עוד

Every visiting or staying in Jerusalem person should step in at least once to see the variety of the Palestinian narratives, stories and arts, etc. in the Educational Bookshop collection. The stay wil...l be even more pleasant with its good coffee, homemade cakes and talks. Highly recommended! הצג עוד

This bookshop is an absolute gem. The range of books is tremendous - from the radical to the type of thing that a tourist/pilgrim needs. The food and coffee are a really good. I've also been to two ta...lks by authors. They have been brilliant free events that have given me insights into the politics, culture and people of this blessed and tortured land. One of the best places to drink, eat, and scan all the books written about the Palestine/Israeli conflict.They also have wifi, just ask them for the password at the front desk

A wonderful bookstore. One of my favourite bookstores worldwide. A great variety of books, specially covering the Middle East and all the subjects related to Palestine. A perfect bookshop to get lost in the pages for hours. An incredibly wide selection of books on Palestine that could be otherwise hard to find! And the coffee was delicious!
