The time has come where we need to live with consciousness, respect and appreciation for the planet ...and all that is in it. Some things we can all do, no more plastic bags, no dumping garbage especially in our oceans. Respect for our forests and for all the animals on land and sea and for our wildlife. Compost with vegetable scraps. The Earth Day Network is a great start for education and news. Together we can make a difference. Ещё

On June 2, 2017, U.S. President Donald Trump announced his intention to withdraw the United States from the historic Paris Agreement on climate change. In the wake of that announcement, subnational actors and stakeholders from across the US stepped up to reaffirm their commitment to cutting greenhouse gas emissions and seizing the enormous economic opportunities of clean energy. One of these groups is the US Climate Alliance, a bipartisan coalition of governors who remain committed to meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement. Currently 24 governors strong, the USCA represents 55% of the U.S. population and an $11.7 trillion economy – an economy larger than all countries but the United States and China. The climate and clean energy policies in Alliance states have attracted billions of dollars of new investment and helped create more than 1.7 million clean energy jobs, over half the total clean energy jobs in the United States. Now celebrating its 2-year anniversary, the US Climate Alliance is leading on climate action to create good jobs, bolster local economies, and build a brighter, safer, more resilient future for all.
