First time at the Ben Uri, located in Boundary Road, London; saw the excellent David Bomberg exhibit...ion, one of our great English painters, who i always feel never gets true recognition. This exhibition shows how innovative and inspirational he was. The gallery staff were welcoming and helpful. A realistic exhibition entrance fee. No problem in taking photos of the artworks also. Work with artist Emmy Lopes on designing and creating 'prayer flags' from recycled materials in our 'Textiles' workshop. Weds 11th October. They're based around traditional Tibetan flags Emma has seen on her travels and objects, detritus, rubbish that she collects from the streets, beaches or environment. The big reveal!!!! Screenprinting joy from our 'Printmaking' workshop last night! Join another workshop. Next one will be 'Textiles' Coming up on 11th October. Along with artist Emmy Lopes it'll be flag-making using recycled material based on Tibetan prayer flags.
