We are harvesting and infusing chickweed this week before it begins to flower. This will be used this beautiful oil the rest of the year to make the Chickweed and Plantain skin salve.

A Homesteader's Wife.

I guess I didn't believe him when he said he wanted a pig and so I married him anyway.

It took him 10 years but he got his pig and together we're now homesteading on over 7 acres and when even the Amish stop by will whistle the tune to "Old MacDonald."

It turns out I love homesteading, living the simple life, and raising our children to know where their food comes from.

It never ceases to amaze me the satisfaction one can derive from stewarding the earth in the gardens or through animal husbandry. Not to mention spending time at my vintage 1921 Singer sewing machine, listening to the rhythmic whirring while fashioning garden aprons or while handcrafting simple, all- natural and sustainable farmstead soaps, often created with resources grown right here on our little farm.

I love living this life and having this shop gives me an extra excuse to do a few of those things I love to do! I hope you enjoy browsing around and thank you kindly for your support!
