About Us
What
we do
Chochmat Nashim creates a healthier Jewish community and Israeli society by challenging — and changing — the damaging extremist trends that plague the Orthodox world. From erasing women to the plight of agunot, we highlight issues and provide the community with tools and resources to create change.
What are the issues?
Extremism
The Jewish community is sliding towards extremism — and it’s unhealthy for all of us. We can work together to maintain a moderate, healthy frum society.
Rate My Beit Din
Much of the pain surrounding Jewish divorce is not rooted in halacha itself, but in communal norms that can and must be changed. Rate My Beit Din is a “Yelp”-style platform for the divorce departments of batei din worldwide, providing verified information on costs, response times, and user experiences. By increasing transparency and accountability, it helps reduce Get abuse and works to restore integrity and fairness to Jewish marriage and divorce.
Erasing Women
What began in the most insular communities is now commonplace. Erasing women causes financial, health, and emotional damage to women. Help put women back in the picture.
