Great for basic online users

I like that I can create a professional looking website without needing to know much about website development. It's customizable and is hard to mess up your website.

Ulemper:

When Squarespace came out with it's membership community, I wanted to switch my subscribers to members, but there is no way to transfer their billing without asking all of my subscribers to resign up with their card, which is impossible to do. I would love to be able to use the Squarespace members areas for my subscribers, but I don't see it being possible without being able to transfer their payments to members area.

Great design features but need more e-commerce support

Kommentarer: I enjoy using Squarespace. If the e-commerce features are more competitive, it would be a perfect website builder!

Squarespace is amazing for putting together an attractive, professional website in no time. Having used various website builders over the years, I'd say Squarespace is the most beginner-friendly. The website templates are beautiful and very easy to edit - no coding or design skills required! Because of Squarespace's extensive customisable design elements, it is best for portfolio websites - where stylish layout is important and you don't need advanced e-commerce features. And being one of the most established website builder platforms around, you can also trust that your website will be secure.

Ulemper:

Squarespace isn't so great in terms of e-commerce integration. For example, it lacks the infrastructure to create useful shipping options (e.g. free delivery over £50), which should be an essential e-commerce feature. If you're looking to build an online store, I wouldn't recommend Squarespace.

A Lifetime Comittment

Kommentarer: It is difficult to customize the site without coding experience, so if you are a beginner, for the cost of Squarespace, there are better alternatives. However, if you can code, there are also better alternatives. Squarespace is out dated and overpriced.

I like the templates that are offered, they have good appeal and typography. The backend design is user friendly and there is live chat 24/7.

Ulemper:

The biggest issue for me is that you can not migrate your website elsewhere if you change your mind about Squarespace in the future. The thought of starting from scratch and making a lifetime commitment was enough for me to say no. There was also no phone support for the times when immediate support on a call would be more helpful.

Kommentarer: Although there have been some cons towards Squarespace, my overall experience has been great. One of the best features of the software, is its price. Unlike other software programs that require loads of money to start off or to go premium, Squarespace provides a suitable price that all small businesses can manage. The websites that can be made from this software look great if made correctly and function as any website would.

One of the main things I liked about this was its user-friendly interface, which made it easier to make the website. Another would be the wide variety of templates offered.

Ulemper:

The only disadvantage of this software is the lack of customizability given to the creator of the website. You can only customize the templates preset rows. Plus the fact that it cannot autosave, but will suggest you to manually save after changes.
