The Line’s Sam Taylor @samtayloranimation and Wesley Louis @librabear shoot the shit with Ash Thorp in his latest The Collective Podcast. They talk bout the story behind Ninja Rabbit, how we got together to form an animation collective and tools we use for our projects.
Regarding the last post. Thanks for your encouraging comments. Yea, brynrichards stringing pierrecroco that sucks, these things happen I guess, but it really sucks, especially when it’s someone like disney, you can’t escape the comparison. I’m not too worried though. Her looks is kind of flexible at the moment, but I find her really appealing, the idea was that the pig would set the girl and the man against each other at some point in the story. After all when you are starving to death and there’s nothing to eat around you… it just seems like a perfect setup for conflict and tension. atelier capsule thanks! duncan-gist ha! Damn right! myshrinkingviolet yep I will continue working on it cipriancostas yes it was and still is centred around the man, however the more I delve into it, the more his blindness seems to be a crutch to the story rather than make it better. At the moment it’s so much more interesting if he can see. I do like the idea that he is impaired somehow though and that the girl is directly or indirectly responsible for it. Maybe not blind, but something else. They would both resent each other but at the same time rely on each other. It would create an interesting dynamic…. If none of this makes sense. Sorry. At some point I will sit down and clarify what’s been going thru my head in the past months… Aaaanyway, thanks for following!
I was interviewed by Benoit Berthe Siward of onepointfour the other day about how Wallflowers came about. If you’re interested.
Hi there quiero-ciudat. Thanks for asking! Sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve been trying to squeeze in some time between projects at thelineanimation and freelancing for the ca$h. I’m still working on it every now and then though, I’ve started boarding a few scenes in my sketchbook that I’ll probably develop further. Here’s a sketch that I’ve had lying around for a while. It’s a part of the film where things start to go bad. I was meant to work this up a little more but I’ll put it up anyway. Possible poster image maybe?
