Zak's apartment (and our room) was really nice. Very clean and central. He and his father made us feel really welcome. For 5€ per day Zak can provide you a card for a parking in the garage around the corner. Zak, thanks for everything, we had a lovely stay.

Apartment is very well located in extended center of Skopje. It is clean and sunny. Zak was even willing to do a quite late checkin and helped us with taxi from the Airport.

The accommodation was good - lovely sized bedroom, and location was wonderful. The whole apartment was very clean. Location is great, very central and lively. There are lots of house rules, including not using the living room after 8pm - I'm not sure why!! It was difficult to arrive at the apartment - it would have been easier if he had given directions, that it was next door to the hotel (I forget its name) - it was easier to find that way. Then he could have met me there. It was a strange, convoluted way to meet - I had to ask if there was a cafe nearby so I could (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) him when I arrived. I was most disappointed however that the check-out time was very strict, and he had not considered if guests wanted to leave luggage. I had to ask repeatedly to find out if there were left luggage facilities at the station, which there were. I had to check out at 8.30am, and take my luggage to the station, and then back to the main square for a walking tour! Also, it would have been useful to know that many of the buses arriving into Skopje (I came from Ohrid) actually stop in the city centre before heading to the bus station - which is 2km from the apartment. So get off the bus in the centre, easier to reach the apartment. Also, it would have been good to get a map - there are free ones from the tourist office, 5 mins walk away, but even if I was given a photocopy of the centre, marking where the tourist office was, would have been useful to navigate.

Staying at Marko's flat was a good experience. The flat has interesting lighting which made our stay fun. The kitchen is well equipped and the bar table makes it feel like you're a bartender! The ceiling is low above the beds so it's good to leave a light on while going to sleep. The flat doesn't get much light in the morning but that's why it has the cool lights. It's 15 minutes away from the city centre on foot. The flat is in a family building, so completely safe. Communication with Marko was easy, which made our trip feel cosier. Highly recommended for groups of friends as well!

The apartment was cosy and very clean. The father of Marko helped us with everything we needed including the garage. The only drawback was the relatively low ceiling which made the place a bit small for 4 people. All in all the experience was satisfying and the city of skopje beautiful and interesting.

Marko was super welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful! I booked and checked in within 30mins and it wasn't a problem at all. The coffee/tea and fruit etc. were bonuses too, making my stay tip-top.

Staying with Igor and Zorica was great. Their house is about a 3 minute walk from the bus stop and 5 minutes from really interesting food options. they were extremely helpful in finding places for us to go and things for us to see. Would definitely recommend if you're in Skopje!

If you're staying in Skopje, I would highly recommend staying with Zorica & Igor. They are incredibly kind, helpful with getting cabs and bus time tables, and have genuine hearts. We loved staying and chatting with Zorica, she has a very thoughtful look on life. The room is comfortable, the pillows are awesome!!

We spent in this cozy apartement 5 days and now I can say it was great decision! Zorica and Igor let us know about everything, they were high responsive also before our arrival. Unfortunately we didnt meet Zorica but Igor was very good host. He cared about us, you can feel free to ask him anything :) Description of flat is objective, we felt there like at home. From the centre it is just 10 minutes, all around you have markets, street food and bank. Thank you for everything! :)

The offer is about a private room in the flat in which Zorica and Igor also live, although surprisingly they are often away. I must admit that staying with them it was the best introduction to the Macedonian mentality culture and hospitality ever! Although Zorica and Igor left us a lot of space for privacy and were really relaxed and tolerant etc. we were rather those guys who wanted to chat with them and bothered them with billion questions (sorry ;)!). However, they are both so chilled, open-minded, tolerant and simply very friendly people. And exactly these cultural exchange and talks with Zorica and Igor about various things made our stay in Skopje such unforgettable and reacher in the experience and views of local people :). Thank you very much, it meant a lot for us (particuraly the recommendation for the tastest ajvar ;)!!! However, objectively the room is of course great, double bed is comfy, outlook from the window is beautiful. Within 10 minuts walking are many places to go and eat out (next to the university there is great area to eat out with kafanas etc. some popular bars and pubs in the area), city centre is within 15 minutes walking, Old bazaar 20 min, I am vegan and in the area there are 3 good vegan/vegetarian places that you can grab something to eat. We have been to Canyon Matka (the bus is going from the bus stop Faculty of civil engeenering and architecture) that is 10 minutes walking from the place. Briefly, central location is a great advantage of their place. Igor showed us also the way to the bus and to the club (van gogh) that we wanted to visit (although, if he had no time, you find map in the appartment. We also recommend the app for android (URL HIDDEN) Igor and Zorica adviced us also about the transport around the Macedonia (and reduced our costs of tickets by almost 50%!!! thanks a lot!). It was a really nice time in Skopje and in this place. We can really recommend it.

Zorica and Igor were super nice hosts. They made my stay so easy and comfortable. They helped me with figuring out what I would want to see in Skopje and anywhere around the city. Their appartement is super nice and the neighbourhood is as well. Plus and most important: They are really rad people who were really cool to be around!!!

Igor was very helpful and nice. Unfortunately I did not meet Zorica. The room is very comfortable and spacious. It has an amazing view. Everything very clean and well organized. The flat's location is great. Close to amenities and bus stop. About 20 min walking to the Old Bazaar. Had great time!

For 2 weeks I stayed at Marjan's apartment with my girlfriend and it was a very pleasent stay. I've been to Skopje a few times now and this was by far the best apartment. When we got to the apartment it was clean and tidy. Spacious enough for 2 people to live in for a while. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was also very complete. The apartment is situated in a nice neighborhood. And a supermarket is fairly closeby on a 10 min walk. Overall had a very good time and if you are looking for a decent place to stay in Skopje that is still afordable, I definitely recommend Marjan's apartment.

I loved this apartment! It was perfect for just me. It was easy to reach the center of town, with a bit of walking (10-15 minutes), but it was a nice way to explore the city. I originally had a difficult time finding the apartment but Marjan answered his phone right away and helped me along. His father was wonderful and very helpful! Highly recommend this apartment!

The apartment, location and condition was better than described. Really great location, really appreciated the private parking space which was private and secure. Shops within walking distance and shopping mall to cater for all your needs very near. Also, by car very close to the city centre . The Apartment was great! Marjan and his parents were super accommodating arriving quite late in the night after a delayed flight and them being at the apartment with a smile and keys. The place is perfect for one person or a couple. Has everything you need.

The apartment is very stylish, cosy, sunny & bright with everything you need. Even with things you wouldnt probably expect. Such as a washing machine, dish washer, fully equipt kitchen, some toiletries a.s.o. It is located in a friendly neigborhood. The hosts are very warm welcoming. Goce was a great host. I really enjoyed staying at his place! I stayed at Goce's place for about a week. It was a very cosy and clean apartment which had everything I needed (He even prepared breakfast!). You can find the apartment exactly same with the photos. What made me love this apartment more was the great neighborhood. During my stay, I enjoyed running in the big park which was just two blocks away from his place. Plus, there were nice (and very affordable!!) restaurants, bar and bakery near the apartment. I highly recommend to stay at his apartment! And if it is possible, stay his place longer to get a free trip to Matka Canyon. It was stunningly beautiful. If I have a chance to go back to Skopje, I will definitely stay his place again. Great appartment in the same building as the other appartment of Goce. It is exactly as the pictures, clean and nicely decorated. It is close to the center and there are really nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. Goce is an amazing host and responds really fast to every question I have.

Goce was a great host. He gave me advice so I wouldn't get fleeced by a taxi from the bus station and was waiting when I arrived. He took the time to orientate me in the neighbourhood and even provided some basic groceries! The flat is really lovely, so bright and clean. The soft bed was welcome after so many of the more common rock hard Balkan beds I've encountered. The kitchen was well equipped to cook simple meals and I appreciated the washing machine! The Internet connection was reliable. The neighbourhood felt safe and was walking distance to the centre. Goce also arranged my transport to the airport at the end of my stay. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

Perfect little studio and definitely as the name claims - best value! Located some 5 minutes away from Debar Malo (Skopje's nightlife district) and in the walking distance from main square. You will find all you need in the neighborhood, stores, exchange office and restaurants as well as 24h open bakery. Goce is a great guy always ready to quickly reply to your message and help you get around. I would definitely recommend his place for business trips and city breaks. The apartment was clean and had all I needed to make my stay pleasant.

Edi was great host, very nice and helpful. Apartment is cozy and located just few minutes from main attractions.

I was guest in Edi house with my wife and Jack and we all love that house. The house is new everything is brand new wall fresh painted inside you have all confort that you need to find as tourist. The house is situated 10 min max walking fron the center. I never been in Skopjie before was first time and I really like the city. Edi and his girlfriend Ivana are two nice people always answer before my arrival to all my question, whatever question was. I was in touch with Edi during my long trip and I was in the midle of great storm, Edi informed me but nothing I can do. My car broke down in street for high level of water I called Edi to help me he didnt hesitate to come over and help me, thank God enigne start again and I was able to arrive and park in front Edi house. I met him he was so wet but we bth were happy to see each orher. I will be back to skopjie and I will go visit Edy again no doubt about it. I stronghly reccomand this appartment for the quality for the location and for sure for the owner he know how to take care custumers. Grazie Mille amico mio we will be in touch! Good luck.

Edi's mother welcomed us very friendly. First we could not find the street then but no problem, we called her und she came to pick us up while it was pouring with rain. The appartment is nice like on the pictures, it is close to the Center and it's quiet. During our stay there were heavy earthquakes. Uaah but no problem, this flat seems to be earthquake safe constructed and Edi's mother contacted us, we don't have to be afraid and she offered to come to her. We would highly recommend Edi's Apartment.

This place is great. It's clean, in a quiet and safe neighborhood, and just 10 or 12 minute walk to the center of Skopje, and maybe a 15 minute walk from the Skopje bus and rail station. Goran and his parents were polite, flexible and responsive. My only regret is that I had to leave.

Goran is great host. He waits us to arrive and gives us map and very useful information about the city.The studio is great and clean and is close to the city center. There is a free parking in front of the house.

Meeting Goran was great. He is so kind and warm as soon as you meet him. He is so passionate about Skopje and he will draw a map of the best way to explore it. The room is clean, comfortable and spacious. The walk from the station isn't the most scenic, but it's easy. If you catch a cab it will cost around 100-130mkd. The location is very close and easy to walk into the main town centre.

We had a very nice stay! The studio was very fresh and served as a great base for exploring the city. Goran was very helpful and gave great advice on things to do in Skopje. Highly recommended!

Josif's place was a good choice for my one night in Skopje to obtain my visa at the Greek Liaison Office, which is practically next door. The apartment is also within easy walking distance of the main square and other sights. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure and hot water. Josif was helpful and flexible about check-in and check-out times.

The neighbourhood was great, quite and peaceful and close to the embassies, a safe place. Everything was as in the pictures, spacious place with everything we needed. The kitchen was a bit cold. Milan and Anna were very nice and we had a coffee just as we arrived, they were very helpful before and during our stay.

I can say only positive words about the hosts and the apartment. The place was very neat and clean, all the amenities listed in the profile were available. I arrived in Skopje with a friend to check out the city and meet up with other friends. Milan's apartment was about a 15 minutes walk to the center and he had a map in the apartment with cafes, shops, etc. nearby. I would definitely recommend Milan's place to stay at.

Milan and Ana were excellent hosts! Very friendly and welcoming :) when we arrived, they gave us plenty of advice on where to visit in Skopje - Milan even has his own blog about the city! The apartment was comfortable and spacious and had most necessary amenities for cooking. There were plenty of blankets and central heating for colder evenings and the room was cosy. In a good location, the apartment is great value and close to a very good bakery! During our stay, the apartment did not yet have wifi :)

As Milans very first guests we can say that he appeared as a very friendly and helpful host. First we couldn't find the appartement so he catched us up by car and gave us some good advices where to have a beer in the neighbourhood. The appartment was very clean, everything needed was there. We can really recommend Milans appartment.

Kire's place is extremely close to the city center, making all the touristy places very accessible. The room I stayed in was incredibly clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the wifi worked well, too! Besides the phenomenal place to stay, Kire is the best host I have experienced. He is a great conversationalist, extraordinarily accommodating, communicative, and will go out of his way to make sure you have the best possible experience. He showed me around the city, including telling me about the best local places to eat and arranged for my taxi back to the airport. He was the difference between me just going to Skopje, and actually having the experience of living like a local in Skopje. I would recommend this place, and Kire, to everyone.

Kire is very friendly and professional at the same time. You will have a clean bedroom with everything you need. Location-wise, I cannot think of a better place to travel around Skopje. It's 1 minute from Macedonia square and 2 minutes from Old Bazaar. If I come back I will check in here again.

Even though we only stayed for one night, we had a very nice stay at Kire's place. He met up with us outside a shopping mall near his place as that's what we wished, and was all the time very friendly with us. The location is very good, being only a few minutes away from the center. It's especially good if flying out early next day, as it's located very close to the Holiday Inn hotel, where the airport bus leaves from.

The location in in a really unique area of the city. Surrounded by tall modern buildings, the house is located in a newly remodeled old home in a small neighborhood with small cobblestone streets. It's as if you're in a different time a different place within the grander, more modern Skopje. It's within walking distance to the bus station (15 minutes), the old town (5-7 minutes) and a taxi stand (3 minutes). As the the house itself is newly redone on the inside, everything is clean and functional. Kire is a wonderful host with rich experiences and stories of his own travels around the world working in hospitality. He is so helpful and friendly and his love of Macedonia will give you a beautiful glimpse into Skopje and its history as well. I only stayed in Skopje for one day. I'm so glad I stayed here, as I'm sure the experience wouldn't have been the same without Kire and Sladjana :)

This place has perfect location to explore the city center. The room was comfy and minimalist. But the best thing is Kire. He is very kind and honest and helpful. He showed us the city center, told us lots of interesting things about Skopje, the country and the people. We can just recommend this place. And totally we would come back :) Thank you :)

Nice place within walking distance of the centre of town. It's a really nice walk by the Vardar to get to the Central Square. Still the neighbourhood is quiet and charming. The room isn't so big but it's clean, has a comfortoble bed and a nice little balcony. Kire is a very nice and helpful guy. Great value for money!

Kire's place has amazing location, just 7 minutes of walk to city center, close to the river and bus/train station and all kinds of restaurants and cafes. Room was very clean, cosy, warm. But the main thing we liked is Kire. He picked up us in restaurant because our mobile maps didn't find address, he was very attentive to explain everything properly about apartment and also he had walk with us in city center. He was very intelligente, told us a lot of interesting information about city, Macedonia and history of Yugoslavia in general. We had a lot of pleasure staying at Kire's place. Totally recommended. Ivana's little house is an amazing place, and I strongly recommend it for any length of stay in Skopje. It is very well located (close to bus station if you want to go to Canyon Matka, few steps to center), everything works perfectly ( you can make a food in kitchen), it is very clean, Ivana and Edi are very nice (Edi met me when I affixed and led me to bungalow and always messaged me back in a minutes). Its so cosy place! Excellent experience! If I will bach to Skopje I will stay there again!

Gorjan's place in Skopje was wonderfully central to everything and has a lovely view over the main square in the city. Gorjan was an amazing and accomodating host who was attentive and regularly checked in to make sure that every need was being catered for. The apartment itself was well equipped, has good wifi, clean everything, and was an absolute pleasure to stay in. Would highly recommend and definitely stay there again. Gorjan war auch die zwei Wochen immer für Fragen und Auskünfte erreichbar. Die Lage der Wohnung ist perfekt so wie in der Beschreibung angegeben ! Die Wohnung liegt in der Fußgängerzone und es ist somit sehr ruhig. Mann kann von da aus alles zu Fuß erreichen. Der Ausblick vom Balkon war super gut . We can only affirm what other reviews have already stated: Marjan is a great host, who pays a lot of personal attention to his guests and kindly shares his knowledge of Skopje and Macedonia. The apartment is very nice and in a perfect location close to the wonderful baroque square (including a fountain with light show). When we wanted to stay longer and this apartment was already booked, Marjan arranged for us to stay in the airbnb of his friend Keti in Karpos, where we had a similarly great experience. Both come highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Marjan's place. The location is super central (with everything you might need nearby) and the apartment is clean and comfortable (with everything you might need right there) Marjan was quick to respond to my emails when we were booking the place and once we were there he was really helpful. He gave us advice on places to go, see, do and eat and had time to walk us round the neighbourhood to point it all out. He even helped us sort out our various transport questions and problems. Plus had time to share a wine or two. We both highly recommend Marjan and his place to anyone visiting Skopje, he was the best host we had in all of Macedonia.

The apartment was absolutely fantastic and Marjan made us feel so welcome. We wish we could have stayed at this apartment from the beginning. As we were already in Skopje, Marjan met us the day before to give us the keys and invite us in for coffee. He is incredibly friendly and we loved how welcome we felt. Plus the apartment is perfect. It is literally located in the center of the city and it couldn't be better to get around! Seriously, stay here if you can!

This apartment is in the best possible location in Skopje... just a short stroll from everything. Clean, comfortable and well equipped! Marjan is an AMAZING host! He went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. Highly recomended!

Marjan was an amazing host with an excellent apartment in the heart of Skopje. The location is unbeatable in the main square of Skopje. We also got a chance to sit down and talk about Skopje and Macedonia. The apartment space is very nice (warm) and had all the amenities you can ask for. Definitely recommend this place! What a host! Marjan made my stay in Skopje incredibly enjoyable. Not only did he pick me up at the bus station, but treated me to some food and drink before I could exchange some currency! He was very helpful in showing me around the local vicinity and recommending some great bakeries/cafes/restaurants. We also shared good conversation about Skopje over coffee while I waited for my bus to arrive prior to my departure. The apartment had everything I could possibly need to accommodate my needs and more. It's location in the heart of the square was a great launchpad for me to see some of the city during my short visit. I felt very safe in the area and in the building of the apartment. I can't recommend it enough!

Simona is a nice and friendly host. Apartment is spacious and clean, just be aware that it can be a little bit warm if you go in the middle of the summer. But good stay!

Simona's appartement is very nice, cosy and clean. It has everything you need and is easy to reach with a supermarket and fresh market nearby and walking distance from the beautiful city center. Simona welcomed us upon arrival and was very kind to explain everything and answer our questions.

Had a wonderful stay in Skopje at Simona's apartment. Her and her husband were very welcoming, even picking us up at the train station and helped to answer all of our questions about the city. Apartment was large, clean, and as described with a very central location for exploring the city. I would highly recommend.

Great apartment in a nice and quiet neighborhood, not far from the city centre. Vladimir was a great and welcoming guy, who helped us navigate around the city and answered any questions we would have. Absolutely recommended!

Vladimir's apartment is a modern and relaxing place to stay. Very clean, quiet, on a great location , close to the city center. Nice view. There are several stores nearby that are open 24/7. We enjoyed our stay there.

Perfect host. Came to pick me up at the place I wanted, at the time I wanted; foresaw fresh drinks and food, and even offered a mobile phone to make local calls. The apartment is perfect for two or 3 ( I was alone) and is situated in a quiet neighbourhood . All is available and very neat. The only small observation I have is that it could be a little le difficult for somebody who is the first time in Skopje to find the place back ( 800 meters out of the centre) , but hé, taxis are very cheap there. To recommend.

Vladimir has been more than perfect : he pick-up us even if we have some late, took the time to show us everything in the appartment, Which was really clean and cosy. if it's not in the heart of the center we found the localisation really nice, because more quiet and it's really easy to go everywhere by walking a bit. Vladimir prepare the appartment to make it comfortable for you : à few necessary stuff, some food, candy etc Which Was really really nice

Vladimir is the perfect host! He collected and brought me to the bus station from/to the airport, asked my during my stay if I need something... The apartment is sunny and clean, exactly as described - and is in a quite area. Shops and amenities are reachable in a walking distance - as the main tourist attractions of Skopje.

The best airbnb experience we ever had - thanks to Vladimir. The best guy in Macedonia!! He was very helpful and nice during our stay and took a lot of time for us. The apartement is modern, clean and just 10 minutes walk to the city center. If you go to Skopje you have to take this flat!

Great modern apartment. As advertised and great location, within walking distance of the city and main square. Hosts mother in law let us in and was very welcoming. Fast wifi also!

The apartment was really nice. I ve checked in really late, because of a delayed flight. But that was no problem. I enjoyed my stay, the location is just super, with a splendid view of the fort and river.

Katerina was a fantastic host and her flat was terrific. The property is right in the center of Skopje and it is a five minute walk from almost every site/attraction. It is very comfortable and spacious. I would absolutely stay there again. I had a great service and experience from the beginning. After renting the appartment Katarina and her husband provided me a full information about the city, the appartment and possible ways to reach the city. The host met me near the buildnig. The appartment is really great! It's really cozy and has a great location in the heart of the city (5 minute walking to the main square)! It also has a great view from the balcony! There are many restaurants and food stores located near the appartment. The appartment was really clean and it had all I needed for me and for my girlfriend. I would like to have such an appartment for myself) Really liked it!

Very modern and comfortable apartment in great location close to the city center. The communication with Katerina was quick and excellent. A few minor cons - our arrival was a bit awkward - the person letting us in (not Katerina) met a neighbor and chatted for a few minutes before talking to us again. Also, there was still unwashed laundry in the washer (not a big deal, there were plenty of extra towels / sheets). Finally, we felt the apartment was missing some features we'd have appreciated, like a wine opener (there are wine glasses), and a dry rack for clothes. All in all, we had a decent stay.

Nicely furnished, great view from the balcony, close to city center, close to old town, close to river and close to Mariott and Ibis hotels, everything in 5 minutes walking distance. TV with lot of channels (including foreign) and Internet in the apartment is also very quick. Katerina was always helpful and reachable on the phone, she also sent us all the information about the city, restaurants, bars, food and Macedonian places worth to visit. We had delayed flight and even when we arrived after midnight we got very warm welcome when we finally arrived. We would love to come back again next year!

One of the nicest apartments I've had the pleasure to stay in, fully equipped with all amenities, spotlessly clean and 5 minutes from the city centre. The balcony even has a wonderful view over the fortress. Katerina wasn't in Skopje when we were there but organised for us to meet the cleaning lady to let us in and was always available to help. A fantastic apartment at a very reasonable price!
