More later but these are very good defenses against what I would call "social philosophy DAO hacking" where smart but overly logical people are led down horrific directions by following logical implications without reflecting sufficiently on premises. NRx most horrific case...

We’re excited RxC Seattle is up to 24 members in only a few days. There’s clearly a wellspring of hunger and hope for new systems to bring greater human flourishing. We can’t wait to work together to make these concepts real. Thanks everyone—stay tuned!

I am so glad to FINALLY see economic theory opening up at least a bit. is an inspiration and a real source of hope for a better future in the profession.

This is a fascinating thread. I wish I had seen it earlier. Its incredible how many new blindspots formalizing property via blockchain creates. I cited your work in my recent Medium piece. I'd love to know your thoughts:

Seems like the culture wars are just as much a bundle of contradictions as is economic policy. I hope the work and I are doing together can start to cut through it all a bit like did on the economic side.

Perhaps even more paradoxically, the leftist elite style is heavily parasitic on the work of the right because, as and highlight, the leftist esteem strategy of elites would fail of the right hadn't already legitimized their claims to wealth to begin with.

While more conservative types, even within these groups, seek to conform to those standards to gain esteem.

But it only gets more complicated from there, because of course regarding non-elite discourse and even some important elements of elite discourse, the left also wants to destabilize the esteem given, for example, to cis-, hetero- and white life styles...

But the reverse is roughly true regarding more "social" sources of esteem: wealthy lefties give away their money to "worthy" causes to be admired, while those on the right use their money to delegitimize the social scheme that accords respect based on giving to such causes.
