    This year I read a lot of emergency room bills — 1,182 of them, to be exact! I read bills from all 50 states. I read bills from patients who were babies, and patients who were elderly. Let me tell you a bit about what I learned! (1/11)

    A key point here -- a really important point -- is that these companies are supposed to be competing with each other. Instead, they're all behaving like super chummy friends -- and the enemy is you.
