On transatlantic flight, I was watching the Atlantic ocean, not expecting anything but cloud and light patterns over the endless face of the water when all of a sudden there were snowy peaks rising from the waves up into the clouds.
They were gone just as fast as they had emerged, like some enchanted islands not on any of the maps.
