    Enjoyed visiting an art therapy session at Dr. Von Hauner Children's Hospital in Munich, Germany; and delivering coloring books and crayons to patients. Keep up the good work .

    Karen and I were deeply moved by Birkenau and Auschwitz. It was a scene of unspeakable tragedy, reminding us of what tyranny is capable of.

    Great to be w/ American & Polish troops in Warsaw – including some from Indiana! These brave men & women have answered the call to put on the uniform, protect their families & our families, & to preserve freedom. We do not know what challenges lie ahead, but we will be prepared.

    . now gives remarks to the groups here in Poland. Mrs. Pence will meet with military spouses while she is here. Thanking the troops and their spouses she says, “we can never thank you enough for sacrifices you make.”

    Walter Jones was a man of integrity who, like his father before him, served the people of North Carolina w/ distinction. He was respected by both parties and he was my friend. Karen & I send our sympathies to Joe Anne, his family & friends. God bless Walter Jones.

    John Dingell was a good man who served the state of Michigan and our Nation with honor. Karen and I send our condolences and prayers to and all the their family and friends as they grieve the passing of this truly dedicated public servant.
