    Fake News reporting, a complete fabrication, that I am concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower. This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics - and it went nowhere. I did not know about it!

    Poets, please find a way to care for other poets. Some folks have won book prizes, but struggle to find full time employment. Some folks have secure (TT) positions, and still trying to get poems/1st books published. Be kind. Be generous as you’re able. Don’t believe in scarcity.

    When I was eight or nine (so in the early to mid 70s) Ted Hughes came to our primary school in Suffolk. We had no idea who he was. But I remember his huge hands on the lecturn, his face all hard planes. It was like having an Easter Island statue read poetry to you.

    EU regulations currently prevent doctors from qualifying before five years of training. Just one of countless examples of EU "market building" that do nothing of the sort, instead causing disruption and impairing UK policymakers.
