    I think a lot about the border. Not the politics but the conditions. What/who created these conditions. What I’m willing to do to protect people indigenous to these lands and seeking futurity. At some point soon, those of us who can are going to have to show up for them, for us.

    True story: I am all mushy with exhaustion of what feels like a million hours spent on various planes that brought me from Nigeria to North America. That mushiness has intensified an encounter I had with a Punjabi (how she identifies) woman sitting next to me on one of the planes

    One of my favorite cities in the world is submerged in water. I've waded through its streets during 'acqua alta' but never seen it like this. Hoping all friends in stay safe, thoughts with those suffering from water damage to livelihoods and homes.
